I installed a new hardrive yesterday...the resolution was screwwd up so i downaloaded a driver to fix that..now it syas there no sound device installed. I can't do it by plug and play becasue there is no software suppor. What's the name od the driver I need to download for sound?

The driver is going to be unique to the sound card in your computer. If the card came with the computer or is built into the system board, go to the website of the PC manufacturer and look for their drivers/download section. Look up the make and model. They should have the audio drivers there for free.
If this happened after you installed a new card, you may have a hardware conflict. Go to the Control Panel and the System icon. Under hardware go into the Device Manager. Look to see if you have an hardware listed that has a yellow ! triangle in front of it. If you do, right click on it and "Uninstall" the hardware. Then reboot and let it reinstall. That may resove the issue.

Let Windows detect your Sound Device.
If it does not detect any sound card
4. Control Panel/System/Hardware/Device Manager
See the list sound and audio devices.
Note the sound card name & model Download drivers and install/

i have the intel intregrated one, but do a search on google for sound drivers, i had one for my laptop off there a while ago
