how blind do you have to be not to see this? how else would you explain all the different gods of every different culture on the face of this planet throughout its history? come on people...WAKE UP!!!!!!!

there is quite a bit of difference between not believing in the god of the bible and acknowledging the reality of one's own existence. the simple fact is, NO ONE knows the how, why, or when, and what force or forces are responsible for the universe we find ourselves in. i am merely pointing out that religion is a man made invention that posited answers to questions that were incomprehensible to our ancient ancestors and that 'god' was obviously one of those answers. each culture from hunter-gatherer bands all the way to sophisticated societies such as our own have 'invented' the gods they use to explain the world around them and there has NEVER BEEN ONE SINGLE SHRED OF EVIDENCE that this is NOT the case! on the contrary, there is simply OVERWHELMING evidence that i am correct in my assertion.

People are crazy.

These same people believe that we are the only form of inteligent life in the universe, which has billions of galaxies, which means there are like a million times as many solar systems, and I can't even count the planets.

Religion is the opiat of the masses. (or should I say WAS)

Religion breeds hate. and guilt.

Let's realize this, move on, and enjoy life once again.

I believe a good way to explain the different gods is the diversity of humankind. Each culture has gods that directly relate to the various forces in their lives, and these gods would of course be visualized differently by the various different cultures. However, different visualizations of the same large concept do not negate the existence of the concept itself.

Personally, I don't know whether man invented God, God invented man... who knows, maybe there's some kind of symbiotic relationship, if God exists at all. Unfortunately, it's hard to document any relationship of this nature without relying nearly entirely on metaphysical and faith-based reasoning - let alone vocabulary!

Just a recommendation: If you're really interested in seriously discussing this with someone - especially the believers you seem to want to address - treat them with respect, and maybe, hopefully, they will do so to you in turn.

let's go real simple here. how is it that ants are born fully programmed for all the tasks they will perform in life and that the sum of all their actions create an extremely ordered society that is a model of efficiency but does not require any individual to act as an overseer? There are no precursors to ants, they are some of the oldest lifeforms on the planet. Do you really believe that such complex interactions randomly occurred to result in programming them to collectively create their social group without some intelligence guiding that design? If so, you may want to do a little self examination before challenging others.
Man, My dad had a saying about people like you, you talk like a man with a paperasshole. never fully understood what he meant until now.

Oh, I am as awake as you are, apparently! Hey, I live in the middle of MORMON country and I'm not mormon! Never was and NEVER WILL BE! Chew on THAT one! : )
Funny bunch of people, I must say. Bunch of breeders, really. I like them though. They don't drink or smoke or gamble and neither do I. makes for a fun party when you don't have someone throwing up in your house, I must say! and Cigarettes and other smoking is just nasty! They do seem a little prudish about sex though. I was feeling a little self-concious when I wore my low cut tops. I have a lot of cleavage, but then I thought. If they don't like it, stop staring! I am who I am! Jesus came to our world in many forms, so each society can accept him. He came in the form of a human so humans can accept him. How do we know that he didn't come to animals too? we dont' KNOW that! What makes humans so much better than the animals? They are not, they just perceive themselves to be. I hate humans, they are messing everything up. We are given this beautiful earth to share with all creatures and what do we do? We tear down their homes, we pump out the goodness and pollute the air everyone breathes. For what? For US. What about them? Do we ever think of others when we are doing a thing? NO! How selfish the human race is for this and for thinking that GOD looks human. He only took that form, like I said, so we would accept and understand. GOD is energy, with no physical form.

Let me share something with you. You will die maybe tomorrow maybe in a few years but when ever you die it was not by chance that you came into this world. Everyone was bone with a feeling that there is something greater than themselves some people give in to it and respect it some don't but for the one that don't why do you have to declare a life style about it if you don't believe why fight with those who do believe. I mean If you don't want to go to heaven just say so but don't tell other people not to go even if you don't believe that's fine. This our dream, this our belief, and this is our hope. Stop bashing it

You'd be surprised at the amount of people who are, as you put it, 'blind'. I just saw this question here;

"Is it true that the devil resides in the rectum of homosexuals?
I read somewhere that the Devil is a citizen of a gay's rectum.
He likes to dwell there.I t's a haven for him. Even if gay men use condom, he scratches it with his nails, and eases its breakage. That's why AIDS is prevalent amon gays. "

Can you believe this? Can you believe how people judge each other because of religious ideology? Seriously, the world would be a better place without religion. It only make people hate each other.

Dear dojo,

This is what the Bible says, "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good." (Psalms 14:1).

There is not much time before the second return of Jesus.....start reading the Bible slowly and prayerfully, asking the Lord to have mercy on you.

Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

now YOU wake up. The ONE true God awaits.

Jesus says, I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life, No One comes to the Father in heaven BUT BY ME! So the one you hold as man's invention, you will one day pray and scream otherwise saying, OH GOD, I BELIEVE!!! Save me from the fires of eternal death! But in reality, He won't hear you...

Everyone is entitled to his/her own opionion, even regarding religion. What I hate most is those who push their religious beliefs (or lack of) on others who just dont want to hear it. So, you worship (or not) any idol of your choice and let everyone else do the same...noone wishes to hear opinions or comments regarding such a personal issue.
