Use a clarifying shampoo to remove product build up. Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo is my favorite.
Follow w/ your favorite deep conditioning hair mask or a homemade one like this:
Shiny Soft Hair Treatment
In a small bowl, mash and combine: 1 avocado (1/2 for shorter hair)
1 egg yolk
1/2 teaspoon olive oil
Apply to hair and allow to remain 30 minutes or longer, then shampoo and condition as usual. Amazingly silky, shiny, soft hair! http://www.care2.com/greenliving/1370.html

use a brightening shampoo. The new Pantene Pro-V Expressions will bring out the color in your hair. Be sure to get the right shade. Then when blow drying your hair, flip your head upside down and blow the roots. That will bring in the volume. Use a lightweight hairspray (I LOVE Aussie "Mega" styling spray with flexible hold. Smells good, isn't sticky or hard) and style with a round brush for more volume.
Hope this helps!!

you could try one of those hair brighteners and shine enhancers.
john frieda carries blonde, brunette, and redhead shine enhancing shampoos and conditioners, which actually work. (they work for me, anyway.) they also have color boosters for all three shades that sort of intensifies your natural color.
hope this helps. good luck!
