I am now a sophmore in college. As a hobby I am part of a community theatre group, and have been there for about 6 months. I have my friends at rehersal, etc, but there is one girl that I am crazy about. I never knew her age till a few weeks ago, I could have sworn she was a freshmen in college, but she is a senior in highschool. So we have a 2.5 to 3 year age difference. I am sure she is interested in return. It is pretty obivious. On top of that she is pretty shy, and want to invite me along with some of our acting partners to hang out, and "get to know me more, in that setting," I have never had anyone say that. What do you all think of the situation. I am lost about it.

That's not a bad age difference at all. When I first started dating as a freshman in high school, I dated a freshman in college. Now I'm dating a wonderful man who's 8 years older than I.

i'm 17 and a few months in the past i began out relationship the son of a kinfolk chum who's 27, so because it incredibly is 10 years and that i by no potential cared with regard to the age distinction and neither did he. We met while i replaced into entering into city and his mom and father asked him to help. After that we'd see one yet another at acquaintances and kinfolk BBQ's and then at my aunts wedding ceremony we began relationship. And 10 years age distinction to me isn't even a great deal so 3 years isn't something. in case you think of roughly it this form we've been a decade aside and you 2 are not even 0.5 a decade aside. My suggestion could be to ask her to espresso or lunch, no longer as a date however so no dinner (considering dinner is extra like a date) and so then she would be able to get to comprehend you extra and maximum probable she would be waiting to comprehend that confident you have been born 3 years aside in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it does no longer propose which you 2 cant date. tell her which you're nevertheless involved yet which you know what she thinks approximately it and then say that it is not in any way a date that its in simple terms eating espresso (or tea) with some superb company and communication.

If she's 18, be a gentleman and slowly go for it.

If not, underage is underage. If you don't want tobe labled a pedphile, leave her alone. that includes "hangin out." You don't want to appear to be a predator. You will be kicked out of the theatre group.

Just be aware that she's stil in high school and a girl not a woman your age. Maturity level is different and so will her expectations of what a relationship is in her mind.

I was a senior in High school and my boyfriend was a sophmore in College. It worked out because I am now married to him. It shocked some of my goody-goody friends and their parents. I think my parents got the question "Why do you let your daughter date a college kid" all the time. My husbands friends loved him dating me because I would always have my friends at his dorm/apt. I went to an all girls school and the college guys loved the uniforms!

Get to know her. Keep your hands off her until she's 18. You might be surprised how getting to know a person as a person first (I am talking months) before getting serious can eliminate the kind of problems you read on here. People get sucked into lusty relationships and then can't let go.

Right now it makes a difference because shes in highschool. daiting is fine but sexual activity,.... eh. Wait a couple years and if u cant wait 4 her then you dont love her. Age wont make a difference in a few yrs , y ask y does it now, because she may be a minor and if she is and u have sex thats statetory rape, and if her parents find out ur in deep sh!t. If you love her you will wait for her.

Age doesn't matter. I'm 14 years old and my best friend is also a senior in high school. If you want to become friends with her, then go for it.

Just hang out and have fun in groups and go from there. Make a friendship first that is always something that needs to be established first and foremost.
