God Almighty who created us is our best Healer. Get connected with Him through His Son Jesus who died on the Cross to save us from condemnation, and qualifying us to Heaven. Come to Him with genuine repentance and faith. You will be having a life with joy, peace, hope and meaning. Pray real hard to Him, confessing yours sins. God loves you, and you are precious to Him. Never, never, miss Heaven for anything in this troubled world. Best wishes.

A nice warm shower and a glass of slightly warmed milk. Try reading something in bed to get your mind off what is stressing you out. Soft, relaxing music also helps sometimes. Don't eat right before you got to bed, this is bad for your digestive system and it can keep you awake. Make sure you are not drinking any beverages or eating any food (like chocolate) after 6pm because of their caffeine content. These keep you awake too. Good luck. To not sleep is to not feel well.

Do some exercise, like jogging, in the evening. It helps release stress. Then have a hot shower, and then drink a cup of hot milk or camomile infusion. Then lie in bed and start reading a book (preferably a boring one, not a thriller) until you are sleepy.

PS. Get a cat, and let it sleep on your feet. It releases stress and helps you sleep a lot!!!

Best way to deal with this isn't easy but it pays dividends. Make a list of all the things you are worried about. There may be some paperwork that needs doing or you might have a grudge/ resentment against someone. You may have some situation that makes you feel anxious. Write them down and speak to a trusted friend or family member. If you prefer to speak anonymously you could speak to a priest or minister who will be pleased to help you. When I did this it was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders and my depression lifted.

Start exercising during the day, every day, like running or jogging at least 30 minutes if not more. At night, drink some chamomile tea or Sleepy Time tea, and take a nice warm shower or bath. Read a nice light novel. If you can, start meditating, or do this:

Start with your toes and think to yourself: my toes are soooooo tired, soooooo sleepy, they really want to sleep; my arches are soooo tired, etc. ankles, legs, etc. work your way up. I never get past my ankles before I'm asleep!

Suffer until you relieve the stress. Go back and list the stressful areas in your life and figure out which ones you can do something bout and which ones you can not. Then began to relax by putting things in perspectives. Your control will again allow you to relax and sleep.

Lavender either a spray or a couple of drops on your pillow is good and reading before sleeping as it makes your brain switch off.
Reduce your caffine and alcohol (I know its boring but it works) especially at night.
A good 20/30min stroll out in the fresh air also helps me.
Good Luck.

take a hot bath. i knowit sound weird since your a guy. but just try it. if your masculine side gets in the way of allowing your self to do this. try a hot steamy long shower to relax you then lay down and unwind. watch a movie. maybe a romatic movie or a comedy but noting scary or action packed cause that would ruin the whole purpose

buy a punching bag and hang it in your basement. when you get stressed, go downstairs and whale the s*** out off it for like 30 min. loud angry music like rage Against the Machine helps the process. stress should reduce and you'll sleep fine.

You could drink lots of green tea, before sleeping or a glass of warm milk with honey. Of course, you can take some yoga's exercise. It really helps! My experience :)
