I'm new here, only two or three weeks here, and it honestly disturbs me that I've fallen into a habit which doesn't mirror my personality, my sense of the world, my view of who and what I am in life. It ends here, it ends now. I may not agree with you or your religious views...I am a nonbeliever...but I intend to address you with respect and common good manners. I am, after all, very probably a good deal older than most of you, and, too, I've been fortunate in my long life...and my good fortune continues. Please forgive this give-time grandfather's snide remarks. If you knew me, you would know that I am altogether sincere on this.

Your sincerity is evident my friend however your question is obscure or non existent. I responded for two reasons. First, you mentioned you were a non believer and I am just curious as to why that is. Second, pick your battles on these boards wisely and you will not feel dragged down to a level that is beneath you.

Sincerely,

Juble

I am a believer, I do respect your choice, I don't agree with it. That does not mean that I cannot learn something from you and you something from me. I to am new to this and it's disturbing on many different levels. Nobody even the non-believers seem to care very much about anything. You have a wonderful day. You are correct, their are many babbling jerks that come to this particular site just to bash Christians and non- Christians.

Not sure what your question really is. Do you mean will we perceive you as a babbling jerk if you address us with respect and common good manners? If so, the majority of us will appreciate it, but there will always be true jerks out there who will ridicule you for it.

I think that it is part the anonymity of the web that makes it easier to speak to people like many of us wouldn't speak to them in real life. We face no consequences (or at least it's easier to imagine that we won't face any consequences) should we anger, embarrass, or cause any other negative feeling in others. I think the trap in doing so, however, becomes how does a person tell which is the "real" him or her: the one in "real life" or the one on the internet?

Many do not realize that by the written word we learn and play out a goodly part of our roles in life. They haphazardly inject frivolity and error for another to adopt with no thought for consequences. The attempt to admonish and correct is burdensome. Welcome, sir.

Yeah. I've had accounts deleted. I have no idea why I turned into such a jerk. I'm trying to be better with this iteration of "robot devil".
