Good luck. My friend applied for her passport February 1st & did not receive it (by mail) until June 1st! 4 months! She's lucky she even got it, she leaves tomorrow.
She went to the passport office several times ~one guy even claimed he "upgraded" the mailing to propriety--a complete lie. It was mailed to her on regular mail.
*But I believe you can go to the passport office {LONG LINES!} & try to apply for an 'emergency' one or whatever (unclear on name) that you can apply for 2 weeks before departure. HOWEVER, they might turn you away & tell you to just wait for it in the mail because "it's already in the system".
Honestly, you might have to cancel your trip. I wish you the best of luck though.

A lot of people are in the same situation (myself included) with travel plans coming up very soon. So many people are applying for passports that they are taking longer than the estimated 10-12 weeks to arrive.
I've tried calling the passport office time and time again without any luck so far.
Good luck, I hope yours shows...

Outside of calling the passport office there is nothing you can do except hope it shows. Passports are currently taking between 12-15 weeks, so it could show at any time. Keep calling, but I would plan on making some changes to your travel plans...sorry to say.

Pick up the phone TODAY! You can track your passport application (if you are traveling within two weeks) by calling the State Department at 877-487-2778. But, be prepared for long wait times. They are open from 7am to midnight.
I've written an article on how to get a passport (or track one) in a hurry on my blog at Wicked Good Travel Tips.com.
Good luck with your travels. - Susan

You may also want to contact your congress representatives - both your Senators and your House Representative.
You should be prepared to cancel your trip plans though - passports are taking up to 5 months to process.

If you haven't contacted passport services about the status of you application yet, you should have. Without the passport, you will be cancelling or rescheduling your trip.

do no longer understand the place you reside however the places of work in Philadelphia and Washington, DC will enable you to get your passport in one day. you may desire to get there early because of the fact it is going to take the completed day,yet a minimum of you will get your passport. My sister is a flight attendant and had to get it for her activity. in basic terms call and make an appointment in case you will get to the two of those places. stable luck.

you applied 13 weeks ago and now you're worried about what to do? you should have asked questions 10 weeks ago. :P I'm not sure though, call the place where you applied and find out what is going on.
