Speaking as a parent, I would definitely NOT call him Hazy since children, as sweet as they can be, they can also be quite mean. Imagine what he may go through at school when children start making fun of him as "Lazy Hazy" and the such, or worse. We must try to protect our children even if it means giving them a name that is a second or third choice for us. There is no way to garantee that you will be able to prepare the child for such unwanted treatment by others, therefore you may want to rethink the name you give to your child.

I would not recommend that you name your child Hazy. How would you feel if that was your name? Sadly, if I met a child named Hazy my first thought would be that his parents must be stoners. Sorry

Dude, no.

Please don't give your kid a name like that. Visit the cemetary, browse the gravestones and find some good names.
A good rule of thumb is also not to name a male with a vowel-ending (y-sound)...they'll be riduculed, you know how kids are.

Stick with what works and is tried and true.
Jack. Henry. Bruce.

Do it man.
Do it for all of us.

I would not. Hazy described something blurry and unclear, it doesn't seem like a nice name.

It doesn't sound dumb, but it's not exactly a name a kid wants to have. There are a lot more names to choose from!

hazy, short for hazel, a girls name. do you really want to give your son a girls name?

hazy means unclear, and cloudy do you want to label him as not very smart?
