They had their own aroma, with the Koehler motors runnin' on each car for electricity, the steam leaking from the train steam line, the slightly musty but not unpleasant smell of the coach's interior and the sight of it all.

It truly stimulated all the senses.

Sleeping? You'd know you'd get a good night's sleep in your cabin or roomette, gently rocked to sleep listening to the rhythm of the rails.

Yeah. I miss 'em. To appreciate it though, you just had to be there..................

Yeah, streamliners were nice. But I still love those old steam locomotives the best.

Sure, anyone who loves trains (like me) loves old stream liners, but then you must go into detail...Old stream liners of the diesel era or the steam era?
