What a great question!
Being from Texas I have to say Shiner Bock. Shiner is the best brewery in Texas, maybe the world.
As for bad beer, any bud, miller, Coors, keystone, natie light(blec) steel reserve, any thing that taste like making love in a canoe. AKA effing close to water.

The best beer that I have ever had was a bourbon barrel aged stout from a microbrewery that I unfortunately cannot remember the name of. Bell's Two Hearted Ale, Victory Hop Devil and my friend Tom's Irish Brown(supposed to be red, but he went a little overboard on the dark roasted malt) all come in close behind. The worst beer I have ever had was Poker Beer. It was so bad that we resorted to using it as a buyin for a poker game, you had to drink one to get chips.

The best beer ever is the ice cold one you have after a long hot day of work. The brand makes no difference. Unless it's a mai bock. Yuk.

I love a good APA or IPA. My favorite is Bluegrass Brewing Company American Pale Ale. The worst I've ever had was something called Coqui 900 Malt Liquor. Bought one can, opened it, got a mouthful and spit it out. Absolutely offensive in every aspect. The mass-produced beers are too void of character to be truly bad.

Without a doubt home brewed beer is the best.

Very few commercailly perchased beers are worth considering. I like Leinenkugel's from Chippewa Falls Wisconsin.

You can keep Budweiser, Pabst, Miller, and everything else!

Best ever was Kingfisher, an Indian (as in, from India, not as in, "whoo-whoo") brew that smells like tuna fish (ghastly!) but is simply delicious to drink!

Worst of standard available brands: probably Pabst. Too sweet.
