Depends on the girl, but I would think so.
But what's the difference to her if you're paying for everything anyways.

Well, let's think about it.
Suppose you're doing dinner and a movie.
The dinner will be about 20-30 (if you're going to someplace that's nice that isn't horrifically expensive)- 10 dollars a plate, 2-3 dollars each for a soda, 3-4 dollars for dessert or an appetizer (if you go for it).
Then there's the movie- 8-10 dollars a ticket, then if you get snacks, it could be 5-20 dollars...
So the date runs anywhere from 35-70 dollars.
Now, how many guys do you know who could afford 280 dollars a month for dates (providing he goes out once a week)?
I don't know many.
And, frankly, I'd rather have go on a date (even if he has to use a coupon to do something nice for me), than stay at home alone because it's too expensive for the guy to take me out.
And- on a side note: Why do we expect to spend so much when we're dating? Aren't we trying to get to know the other guy, rather than their check book?

NO! He is being a savvy shopper! Think about the long term - wouldn't you rather be with someone who saved for the really important things like vacations and engagement rings and retirement by using coupons rather than someone who ran up credit card bills? Coupon cutters are smart - why not accept a free appetizer, dessert, or two-for-one when the restaurants make it available?
Cheap is scrimping on your loved ones in order to spend more on yourself. Coupons are saving a little money together on something you both enjoy!

Well it's different in gay relationships as no one is "the payer" but for me this would depend on how much I liked the place. If the place is a great environment with great food, or if it's a place he or I regularly go, a coupon is just a sign of forethought and focus. If the place is lousy, I might think he brought me there *because of the coupon* which shows a lot of carelessness.

Big Brown Eyes: I agree with you. Some of these "ladies" now'days don't work and expect the guy to pay for their meals, their clothes, their booze, their bills & rent, and even their silicone. Then they brag about it. That is such bull$hit!!! If they're gonna brag, let them WORK for it. You're right, if it was the woman paying, she'd shut the hell up about a coupon being a turn-off.
To the "ladies" who said yes, you make me cringe.
No, it's not a turn-off for a man to use a coupon. For cryin' out loud, he's the one paying, so it's no skin off a woman's @ss if he makes it easier on himself by using a coupon. To him I say, "Good for you." If she has a problem with it, I say, "Shut the hell up."
Use a coupon, and if she doesn't like it, no worries, you've just weeded out another bad seed.

Early on, most definitely. But if you've been dating several months and it starts breaking out coupons, no. Dating can be expensive. But if its on one of those first few dates--its as telling as the guy leaving a 10% tip.

Personally, I don't think it matters. If he seems like a really nice guy and the both of you hit it off, so what if he used a coupon. At least he took you out.

Depends on the girl. Coupons = opportunity for me. ;-)
As long as you don't always use coupons or order the least expensive things from the menu and stuff like that, it's ok.

If you're just getting to know the person I wouldn't use a coupon, but if you've been dating awhile then I see nothing wrong with it.

I am a guy, you women disgust me with these answers. Why don't you pay for yourselves. Oh he is so cheap! He uses a coupon. Please, you women want everything and expect the guy to pay for it. Go get a job and you pay for the whole date, see how much money you spend.

Depends on the girl you are with. If she is stuck up or headstrong she will be turned off. If she's down to earth she shouldn't really care;especially if you have money issues. She should be happy and just appreciate the fact that she has a nice guy to take her out to dinner.
