It's easy for some people to point to certain countries and say they are the cause when it is called "global". As a planet in general we are contributing to the fast pace change of weatherization. It's a given that changes are going to take place on our planet, but do we really have to help speed things up. Alot of the resources we use are natural resources, however look at the amount of use in just one day totalled around the world. So yes if we don't cut back and make changes in our spoiled lifestyles, then we will see a huge disater within the next 20 years or so. Take a look at movies, you can say it's just a movie but it's possible. Snow in Hawaii, earthquakes reaching New York.

Try this one:
"Anthropogenic (man-made) sources of carbon dioxide and other "green-house" gases are causing the Earth to undergo an accelerated warming trend that has been calculated as statistically significant with a 90% Confidence Interval, as measured against the normal patterns of global climate fluxuation."
Not very easy to prove is it?

Sounds like a line of straw men to me... Try simplifying it. >>1. The human influence on climate variability and change is of minimal importance, and natural causes dominate climate variations and changes on all time scales. In coming decades, the human influence will continue to be minimal.<< 1. Human emissions of GHGs have an impact on the global mean temperature. This impact is minimal and the effect on climate variations is minimal, relative to natural influences. In the coming decades, the human influence will continue to be minimal relative to those of natural origin. >>2. Although the natural causes of climate variations and changes are undoubtedly important, the human influences are significant and are dominated by the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, the most important of which is carbon dioxide. The impact of these gases on regional and global climate constitutes the primary climate issue for the coming decades.<< 2. Human influences on the global mean temperature are dominated by the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, the most important of which is carbon dioxide. Although the natural causes of climate variations and changes are undoubtedly important, the impact of these gases on regional and global climate constitutes a primary climate issue for the coming decades. >>3. << This one was just restating the previous one, really, with a few more pieces of straw to pick at. >>Are these adequately described?<< They all seem to try confusing climate change and global warming, or is that you? >>Can you think of another one?<< You forgot the most important one... 4. Humans can not have any impact on something as large and complex as the Earth's atmosphere. Any science that pretends to show that they can or do have such is a fabrication promoted through a global conspiracy of communist scientists, Marxist scientists, socialist scientists, fascist scientists, leftist scientists and Charles Manson and Jane Fonda's love-child, Obama [the Anti-Christ] and his Uncle, Al Gore. This is all really very simple to work out, so I'm not sure why so many people seem to have so many problems with a simple hypothesis. A. GHGs cause the Earth to be warmer than it would be without them. B. CO2 is a GHG and is a significant contributor to the greenhouse effect. C. Humans emit 30 billion tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere annually. D. CO2 concentrations have gone from 280 ppm to 390+ ppm (40%) - consistent with human emissions being the primary cause. E. The warming that has occurred is consistent with the increase in CO2 concentrations. F. There are no known natural phenomena that can explain the warming. G. The probability that CO2 emissions are causing the warming and posing a significant threat to the Earth's climate is significant enough to warrant immediate action. and just for fun... H. The probability that CO2 emissions are not causing the warming and/or that there is a conspiracy to strip freedoms from people and raise their taxes is stupidly insignificant enough to warrant immediate ridicule. Edit: [re: Moe's answer] >>I swear to god, reading these peoplse comments I am certain they are from a different planet.<< We're from Earth. Where are you from? lol _

Uncontrolled emissions from coal burning power plants in India, China and other developing countries. Additionally the automobile emissions from the above countries and others who do not have pollution regulations for their cars. Last but not least the slash-and-burn technique of agriculture practice in Africa, Central America and parts of South America.

Agricultural Burning. In Texas, Louisiana and Florida, the sugar care growers burn at least 2 or 3 fields a day and the stench is, at times, terrible... HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF TONS OF HYDROCARBONS every year... and yet the government worries about backyard swimming pools and cars.
