Of course tattoos hurt......if they didn't everybody would have one...... Personally I think that the iron-on tattoos hurt much worse than the stick on tattoos....but thats just me.

Well let me tell you like this I have six of them. I can say the most painful one I have gotten was the one on my lower back. But this is the deal tattoo pain feels like a constant cat scratching but it's not that bad after the first 5 mins you kinda get use to the pain....But I think the least painful was on my thigh...But it all depends on the size of the tattoo and where you put it at... The fatty area don't hurt as bad as the bony area.

It all depends on your threshold tollerance for pain. I have 2 tattoos right now & both were completely different in pain. The one my lower calf tickled & burned just a little bit & it only took 30 minutes to do. The one on my lower back HURT LIKE HELL & took 2 1/2 hours to do. The pain never ended on it. Everybody is different.

This question must be asked about ten times every single day.

Although I'm glad I read this one, since Mike E's answer is so amusing.

"OF COURSE IT HURTS! That is the way it was intended to be so that mamaboys and pansies won't get one. If your scared of a LOT of pain stay out of the chair."

See personally, I'd call you a pansie for thinking tattoo's hurt a LOT, I'm a girl and I don't think they hurt that much at all.

Anyway, back to the question. Yes they hurt, but trust me it wont hurt anywhere near as much as you think. I have over 20 of them, on 'bony' bits and 'fleshy' bits.

I would say its an irritating pain. Its not a sharp or intense pain. It's really not that bad. I hate pain but I've got an arm band and a tattoo on my ankle. The one on my ankle probably hurt more because it was on the bone. Good luck.

Mine did.I have a tattoo on my lower back. I have heard that different parts of the body hurt worse than others, also it depends on your pain tolerance level. I have a very low tolerance to pain, so it hurt a lot, I almost fainted. Good luck.

tattoos do hurt, no lie. they will make your eyes squinch and toes curl, but the amount of it depends on the size your getting and where its getting done, from what i know, the arm is the easiest. Ive always heard, if you cant handle it on your arm, you cant handle it anywhere else. but its all worth it, unless its for some cheap mainstream by the butt tattoo.

Yes they do hurt, but everyone is different and every placement is different. Sometimes, the artist can us bactine. (First aide spray) At least that is what my husband uses when he tattoos me and at his studio.

YES they do they hurt!! But they hurt more after they are done; they really sting, and throb...

They are more painful on fatter parts of the body, I got one on my neck I could barely feel it, but on my leg OMG!!!!

So if you get one get it on a skinny part of your body! Don’t get one on your boob or bum HURTS way more!!

it doesn't hurt as much as you think it will, but it does hurt, I have 6 and want more you really miss the feeling of the gun on your body sounds silly, but you do LOL

They didn't hurt me. I must have a high pain tolerance. Just felt like a deep scratching sensation against my skin.
