Like all toddlers, the puppy can only imagine that the entire world revolves around his (male?) needs. Everyone here appreciates that someone very demanding and irresistibly cute is keeping you busy.
After reading your "naming the puppy" post, I checked out Wiki's Diogenes article. Learned a lot of new stuff about Diogenes. What's strange is that much of it is so well-suited to my own temperament. My screen-name is actually more appropriate for me than I'd previously imagined. As a teenager I had an absolute passion for eating raw onions with lots of salt, isn't that weird? Last night I dreamed of sleeping in an enormous barrel with several dogs and a friendly puppy snuggled close. Please give Dodge a friendly tickle from me.

Some puppies think they're being abandoned if your attention drifts onto something else.
SOLUTION: Put the puppy on your lap or in its kennel while you go online.

Don't know about puppies, but kittens will severely curtail both your real-world and online social life. Good thing they're such cute little bundles of needs, huh?

My cat seemed to think that I was petting my laptop. If he was jealous enough he'd sit in the corner with his back to me.
