No, as long as you eat a healthy, well balanced diet and consume enough calories to fuel your body, then exercise will not slow or stunt your growth...in fact, being fit will help your body grow to its max potential.

Good exercise habits won't hurt your body at all -- that's why it's good for you! Just be sure that you really know how to use the machines so you don't get sore and so you make sure you're getting the most out of your workout. Also have a balanced diet with all of the dietary requirements so you stay healthy and grow. Or, if you find that running on treadmills is boring, I'm sure that there are a lot of kids your age playing outside. You might want to check out swimming, too, since it burns a lot of calories and its summer. :)

No sweetheart running is really good, oh! & yes, u'll grow till the age of 18---but if u want to grow taller the best thing to do would be to try and hang on trees or anywhere & stretch whenever u can-i.e., simply try and touch low ceilings etc. even as u walk.
It really works, though it can demand some patience.
But also remember that height is usually genetic-so u can gorw only upto the height that ur genes have for u.

it incredibly is in simple terms a fantasy that workout stops growth. the parable probable replaced into simply by certainty that many youthful those that centred on muscle growth and weightlifting extra often than no longer have been small at the beginning and subsequently wanted to bulk up. Any workout, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, would reason muscle harm if finished improperly, including a torn ligament or tension. different than that, pushup away youngster.

Probably not, in fact if you keep a steady diet and balance your meals you may actually accelerate your growth. Don't overexercise though, because if you do you may lack the energy to grow as quickly as you should, especially because of your age. Just monitor your progress carefully. Consult a doctor if you become overly worried about a stunt in your growth. They will know better thank Yahoo Answers, and can set you strait. :)

Be careful not to loose too much weight. There are some good BMI (Body Mass Index) calculators out there. I suggest using one so you don't overexercise.

And remember diet is just as important as exercise. Don't overdo it, but DON'T GET MALNOURISHED!

:) Hope this helps.

Nope, as long as you eat healhy and don't overwork yourself. Also, at 12 years old, you might find joining a sports team, rollerblading, swimming or other activities more fun. You don't want to get bored with the gym or burn out at such a young age. Maybe there are some summer camps you can attend this summer.

My goodness no. Height is hereditary and you'll be as tall as your mom or dad. If they're both short, you'll be short. However, exercising helps to build a strong foundation for bones and can actually help growth.
