mouth ulcers can occur in children too

Younger children often get mouth ulcers as part of a viral infection, like herpes gingivostomatitis or hand foot and mouth disease. In older children, recurrent ulcers are often caused by canker sores or aphthous stomatitis.
Your child's age, duration of symptoms (how long the ulcers have been there), and other symptoms can help you and your Pediatrician figure out what is causing your child's mouth ulcers.

No, first an infection is plenty extra worry-loose in youthful babies fairly than adults. regrettably like herpetic chilly sores as quickly as you have an infection it continues to be on your device indefinitely, inflicting flare united stateswhenever you're run down, or have yet another virus. in assessment to chilly sores there are additionally regrettably no lively treatments. Bonjela would shrink the soreness, the two prescribable drugs corlan pellets or adcortyl in orobase paste are actually not plenty use and not appropriate for babies besides. chilly issues, chilly beverages, ice and ice cream are much less uncomfortable for babies, warm beverages, problematic ingredients and acidic fruit are maximum uncomfortable. the final ulcer lasts for 10 days yet considering they ensue in vegetation a flare up would final two times that long.

Hi,
Yes its definately possible for children to get them, I remember having them as a child myself. They can be caused by biting the inside of the mouth by accident and can be quite painful as you will know if you've ever had one yourself. Bonjela is really good for relieving the pain and helping them heal you can buy it from most supermarkets and chemists.
Hope this helps xx

Totally normal. It's caused by a virus like Coxsackie (does she have spots on the palms of her hands and the soles of her feet?) or something called "Stomatitis".

Try a soft diet - nothing salty or spicy and no citrus (like orange juice) - that will aggravate the pain. You can take her to the pediatrician for your own peace of mind as well.

Take him in to see the doctor. May be hand, foot & mouth. That's contagious virus. He needs treatment, whatever it is.
