I have tried several of the leading diet brands and the one I had the best results with was with Shapeworks/Herbalife. I have used Slimfast, Jenny Craig, Hoodia and a few more but they were either not great in terms of results or cost too much anyway and didn’t do my health any favors. With the shapeworks you get a personal coach who guides you through all your weight loss and ensures you stay on track and improve your health at the same time. The system is nutrition based and very easy to follow and the products taste good too. I used the advanced program and not only did I lose lots of weight and inches but my energy levels were great, I was never hungry or tired and there is no counting calories or points. The coach does all the work for you, all you have to do is take the products every day and the weight just comes off. I needed to lose 42 pounds and I lost all my weight in less than five months, I also lost over nine inches off my waist and lots of inches from my thighs and arms. I used the help of the guy at www.myhealthabc.com, he is excellent with his advice and coaching. There is no sales pitch or anything like that, which makes it even better. He just listens to what you want to do, asks you some questions and its as easy as that. I got free samples to try before buying anything, I just paid a small shipping and handling fee (think it was about ten dollars) and the samples were so good I just knew this was for me. The whole experience was terrific, the support and encouragement you receive is the best, plus the advice on all aspects of your weight loss and general health. My family were pretty unhelpful when it came to me losing weight so I would definitely recommend this for anyone who wants to lose weight safely, quickly with no side effects and receive encouragement along the way. I have also been shown how to maintain my new weight, which again is so easy and love the way I look and feel now. This worked well for me and I am sure it can for anyone, my sister has just started with a different program and has lost seven pounds in her first three weeks. I hope this helps.

900 isn't enough. You need around 1200, and you need to exercise. It takes 3500 calories to lose 1 lb, and a loss of 1-2 lbs per week is healthy. At 132 lbs, you are not big or overweight, but I understand that you want to go back to what you were. I would aim for around 120 lbs.
What happens is if you eat only 900 poounds, your body thinks it's starving yourself. THen instead of burning calories, it stores all the fat and calories instead, and your metabolism slows way down. As soon as you eat normally or change your diet slighly, all the weight comes back instantly. Not only that, but because your metabolism has slowed down so much, it will take even longer to lose the weight. Your cousins are living off of a very unhealthy amount of calories.
Try not to stress. As you said, the more you stress the more you eat and that is obviously counter productive. All you can do is eat healthy and exercise. Stressing actually makes your body hold onto weight too, so try to calm down and enjoy the fun activities you can do in the nice hot summer weather.

There are 3500 calories in a pound of weight. If you have been eating 3600 calories per day for the last three months, it will be RELATIVELY easy to create the daily caloric deficit to lose the added weight again. If you reduce that caloric intake to 3100 per day, you can lose a pound a week. (500 x 7 = 3500) If you increase the deficit even farther, say 1000 calories per day, you can lose 2 pounds per week. This caloric deficit will not even need to be as large if you ADD IN some exercise daily that will help to burn some of the calories. Eating 2600 calories a day is a pretty high amount of calories, so should be do-able. Exercise will help with the stress also. Set up your environment to help you succeed. Remove junk food, high empty calorie food. Replace it with fruit and vegetables. Lots of small changes implemented all add up. It does not have to be a HUGE undertaking with LOTS of changes. Learn other ways to cope with stress -- relaxation tapes, meditation, bubble baths with soothing aromatherapy, etc. It CAN be done.

Reducing your calories that much is actually counter productive your body will think it is starving and your metabolic rate will slow down.
Try this site: http://www.pyramid.gov/ - you enter your current weight and it recommends a diet and exercise plan to help you reach and maintain your goal weight. BTW it is FREE. It is better to find a healthy diet you can live with than crash or supplement because the supplements and crash will only cause health and weight issues later. Good Luck!

The minimum amount of calories ANYONE should eat is 1200. You might want to try 1600 calories to see how you feel. It can actually be a lot of food if it the right kind of foods. Eat fruit, vegetables, lean protein, and whole wheat. 1600 calories will get you 3 meals and 2 snacks. Make sure you right down EVERYTHING you eat during the day and keep track of your calories.
Instead of eating when you get stressed, go for a run. It makes your body feel so much bettter, plus you have time to yourself to think about your problems. But the best thing is that it is exercise and will burn your calories.

never go under 1200cal/day - body needs 50cal/hour just for basic functioning (like when you are in coma) for somebody under 150lbs. And thell your cousin to see a doctor - starving causes problems like imune system worsens, hair falling out, brittle nails, flaky and dry skin, depression etc.
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Some guy, it's actually less healthy to be underweight than to be overweight. Many underweight people aren't as able to fight off diseases nor do they have the stamina of heavier people. Also, if you are too thin, your body will cannibalize itself in a desperate search for protein. That includes literally eating away at the heart. That's why many anorexics end up dying from heart attacks. Anorexia or bulimia nervosa are not chosen behaviors. They are the result of long-standing emotional issues with the sufferers. People who suffer from them tend to have low self-esteem, are perfectionists, feel they have little control over their lives, and want to please other people all the time. They have little or nothing to do with the media's portrayal of the ideal beauty standards for women. These eating disorders are completely separate issues. You can't tell an anorexic to start eating nor can you tell a bulimic to stop bingeing and purging. You have to treat the underlying issues that are causing these problems. Anorexics will simply find ways to avoid eating or get the food out of their bodies while bulimics will find more clever ways to cover up their activities. I lived with a bulimic so I know what this eating disorder looks like and what people with it are capable of doing. Also, every time I see the childish "No fat chicks" comments, it makes me want to respond with "No short dudes". In my case it means someone who is 5'10" or less because I am taller than he is.

Be careful of going on extreme low calorie diets. I was anorexic for a while and it is terrible. What I suggest, and what I've done since gaining a few pounds myself, is to take your normal portion of food, either at home or at a restaurant, and cut it in half. Go ahead and eat one half of it and _really_ enjoy it. Then pause for about five minutes before you attack the rest of it, but before you do, cut it in half again and go through the same process. Try to cut out snacks, but if you must, try to eat only healthful things - fruit, vegetables, slice of cheese.
I think that we typically are afraid of being hungry, but that's when our bodies burn calories. If you're really hungry and it's hours 'til another meal, try to eat something you'll feel good about putting in your body, rather than something to feed the hunger.
