How do I bring up the topic of moving in together and how can I tell if he's even ready? How soon did you and yours move in together?

My current BF and I are moving in together after only two months. We both are secure financially and have our own places, but we love each other and want to be together. I think you should let him bring it up. Usually the girl is ready a lot sooner than a guy. Although in my case, he brought it up and I went for it. I am a little nervous but I guess time will tell.

Moving in with a significant other is hard work trust me!!! I moved in with my guy after a year and we've been together for five years. It's hard making it work, because you are so use to being selfish with your things. You'll have to work hard in making it a 50-50 place. Also, make sure that you are going into this with eyes WIDE open. Don't think it's going to bring you closer to marriage or that it's going to be so romantic. Living with someone is great, I love it. But guys can be gross and lazy, so make sure you guys have some ground rules. Other than that, have fun. It's nice to fall asleep with someone every night and know that they are there because they love you. As for bringing it up, just tell them how you feel. The worst things that can happen is they tell you they are not ready, and you can just go form there.

Good luck!

You are both adults and can make your own decisions but if you are having doubts about it being too soon then it sounds like you need to wait a little while. Personally i wouldnt move in with someone after only a few months but that is just my opinion.

we dated a year then moved in together. i don't remember how the subgect came up exactly. i think i said something about him living to far away and why don't we get something together and share bills. i was 19,he was 28. it was a mutual agreement so it was no big deal. you can't really tell if someone is ready. all you can do is talk about it. if he isn't ready, he'll tell you.

Depends. Is one of you at the others place all the time anyway? Are leases expiring soon?

I don't think I would be comfortable living with someone I have been dating less then a year.

Be completely honest with him.Ask him if he's ready to have you move in with him but don't pressure or rush him.I am still not living with my b/f and we've been together for almost 2 years.
