our relationship didn't work out jealousy occured too much so i jes said that it'll be best for us to be friends.....he doesn't want to be friends he wants another chance

break ups are just plain hard in the beginning!!! it will take some time. there are to choices here:
1.) He really does like you and truly wants another chance.
2.) You mentioned he was jealous. In this case he just doesn't want you to be with anyone else.
You're the only one who can really choose which one it is. I'd be careful of the psycho-type jealous guy. It's only natural to have some jealousy...just not be crazy about it.

If he doesnt understand that that is all you want and that that is whats best for the both of you, then you might want to let him go completely. Because all he is gonna do is pressure you into giving him another chance and if you don't want that then it will never work out between the two of you as friends or lovers.

Why would he want to be your friend, that would be absurd to do at this point. All you are asking him to do is hurt more, do you hate him that much? He didn't want to be your friend to begin with, so why would that have changed. Oh that is right, because that is what you want. Sorry to say, but selfish and immature are not good traits in a woman. Break up with him, but don't insult him by asking to be friends. That is just stupid to even think...

if he can't be friends then he would just have to settle for being and acquaintance .
Either that or just stay out of your life. You can't force someone to love you , or try to love you. Let him know that you are not negotiating anything you are just giving him the facts. Sometimes you need to be blunt with ppl that dont seem to understand any other way.

You cannot be friends, just acquaintances. He will try and sabotage your dates. Men are selfish and don't handle goodbye well at all unless they are ones saying it! cut your losses while you can, and don't get trapped by sympathy.

If not, tell him no and he'll just have to accept things for what they are.
