Hi sweet heart, you cannot stop the cravings if you are not eating right. So, what is eating right? Download this pdf and if you have a printer, please share this with your mom.

This gives you information on how to eat, and has a simple test to determine how fast or slow you digest. It helps to determine if you should be cutting down on starch and raising the protein or visa versa. Its more accurate than a blood test.

You really don't need to lose weight, however, stopping the junk food is a great idea.

Eat before you get too hungry - when you are really hungry, you won't care what you eat.

Have a little molasses in a mug of hot water a couple of times a day. This will provide the nutrients you are craving when you are craving sweet things.

Make sure you have a little protein with every meal and snack. This will make the meal more fulfilling for a longer period of time.

Carry some nuts with you and eat a few whenever you get hungry so that your hunger doesn't get out of control.

Have a good breakfast with some protein -eg an egg on toast, muesli with nuts and yoghurt, or fruit salad with nuts and yoghurt.

Have a reasonable lunch, but less for dinner. This will help energy levels, and the food you eat you will use during the day.

Whatever you do, DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF! Not eating is the quickest way to slow your metabolism, and make you gain weight more easily. Then every time you want to lose weight it will get harder and harder.

Please try and eat healthily, and this should be enough on its own for you to reach your ideal weight (which may actually be higher than you would like).

I hope this helps, and wish you success!

deprivation causes binge eating (eat healthy amount of food and you will not have cravings)
you can get rid of any food cravings in 3 days.
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Make a list of your favorite junk foods. Then, next to each junk food, write down a healthy food to replace it with. For example:

ice cream - fat free yogurt
cookies - no sugar apple sauce
M & Ms - grapes
candy bar - banana
potato chips - apple chips

When you start craving something, look at your list and eat that instead. This way, you'll have a variety and won't get bored with it.

picture yourself 5 stone heavier ?

Bigger clothes that fit tighter ?

Try playing with the food you want to avoid, let it get soggy, picture it as looking more like vomit. Still appetizing ?
