Yes, my neighbor and I went to our area park this morning and picked up litter. But, I guess you could say we do this not only today but once a month

My family moved around a lot when I was a kid, so I’ve had the good fortune of learning how to adapt to new places early in life. Although nothing could’ve prepared me for the culture shock I experienced when I visited Africa several years ago. I was really young when we first left (I had just turned 14), and I honestly did not understand why or what could be accomplished from being there. But looking back I realized that I learned some pretty valuable life lessons, that I know I would’ve never had the chance to experience otherwise. It was entirely humbling, to say the least and it gave me such incredible insight on the world and how others live and struggle to live everyday. It’s amazing to think how one chapter in my life has had such an impact on who I am as a person. All in all I’m very grateful for it.

I usually do something special for Earth Day, but not World Environment Day.
In fact, every day I try to be a good steward of the beautiful Earth God gave us.
