We are home alone and I would love if my mom was in a good mood when she got hoome. One of the only ways is for Westin (my brother) to have a good time cleaning so the house looks nice. And if anyone has any good websites that would be good. Or websites for day lists because schools out for us and I dont want to be the baby sitter thats addicted to the computer like I was last year!

You can give him a spray bottle of window cleaner (natural, nontoxic kind of course) to spray on windows and wipe with a rag. You can let him run the big kid vacuum, you may have to redo some spots, but it can be fun. Tell him that you will give him a piece of candy after he completes each task.

Get yourself and your brother on reading programs, keep journals of what you read and your thoughts about the books, use your imaginations with the journals, add stickers, ribbons, glitter. Ask your mom to purchase disposable cameras for your brother and yourself and go out in the yard and take photographs of the things there. Then create photo albums to put your photos into.

Make a game out of it. Tell him you can clean your room faster than he can...or give prizes for things that are done. Like a trip to the local park. An ice-cream cone from the ice-cream man. Have him help you make a chart..kids love art...put the things on it that HE wants..ie...(if he thinks he could vacuum, let him draw a vacuum.) Use little "star" stickers. Kids love stickers. You're a good big sister, for caring enough to ask for help. Kudos to you.

Just make cleaning into a game tell him he has 30 seconds to pick up or clean up as many things as possible and for reward he gets to pick something to do after hes done cleaning up make it as long as u want this is just an example
