Don't eat anything with tomato sauce. That always bothers me. Don't eat right before you go to bed either.

Since fruits are so acidic, try eating them on an empty stomach and by themselves. There's a system called proper food combining. I used this system and it greatly relieved my acid reflux. Basically, eat fruits by themselves (and wait 15-20 minutes for them to digest before eating anything else), and don't mix proteins and carbs. I know, easier said than done... Maybe you'll see some improvement. I added a link.. it gets confusing, but basically sums up what I just said. If nothing else, try it. You have nothing to lose. :)

I cut out soda and quit smoking and saw a big improvement in my symptoms. With the medication I'm on, I limit spicy and acidic foods, but I can still have some (can't live with out the occasional buffalo wings). But the main thing I did was eat smaller meals more often and not eating too late.

tomato sauce, peppers, and soda pop (the acids and carbonation really mess you up!). Caffeine too. It aggravates reflux.
