I have a job interview today and I am terrible with asking the interviewer questions? Does someone have some good examples for me. I always think the questions should pertain to the position and the interviewer, in my opinion, always gives me such detailed information I never have anything else to ask.

But, I hear it's better to ask something so...any help you have would be appreciated.

I always as what kind of job training is available with the position.

I also always ask what kind of potential there is for upward mobility in the company. Asking this shows that are driven and interested in sticking with the company.

Asking about the working environment and possibly additional expectations of employees that might not have been included in the job posting. You want to do your best to get a good idea about the company yourself so you can make an informed decision, but also show the interviewer that you are intersted in how the company works and knowing what you have to do to best serve the position you might be in.

These are just my thoughts on questions you would be able to ask an interviewer.

Ask them about your detail job function (all the tasks that you are expected to perform on job), and what do they consider is a well done job so that you can strive that mark for in the future.

Ask how is the current business, and what do they think of the future. For example, if it is a tech company...ask if they are spending money on research on the new technology. Ask what is the new technology they are interested in.

Main thing...stay calm, look confident, and show you really love to work for them. If you do not have a question to ask, it is fine...don't ask.

Toward the end of the interview, ask the interviewer to discuss the organizations'"retiremant benefit plan/program" with you--It'll indicate an interest upon your part in making a possible long term commitment with that company/firm/agency!!!--I retired after 33 years from the last place that I asked that set of questions!!!

The purpose of questions is to take an interest in the interviewer and in the company. You really want to interview them more than you want to allow them to interview you. You ask questions about what the job is, how it works, all kinds of things, you basically take an interest in them, find out what their needs are, and then show how you meet that need.

I always ask about the "working enviorment". I can't work in a building without natural sunlight or with people so close to you that you can't breath.
