The main thing is to be honest. If you are interested in the job, keeping calling and saying "Im really interested and would love to be able to come in and meet iwth you to discuss my resume." Dont beg or anything, just be professional and honest. If you can legitematelly explain the negative aspects of your resume, do so, but do'nt lie about it. If they find out then its over.

Between the poor attendance record at your last job, and having incorrect info on your resume, your chances of getting the job are probably much less than 1%. Sorry, but you asked....

You could call the employer and tell them you are really interested and would like to talk further, or could call the recruiter and ask bluntly what your chances are, but don't be real surprised if you don't get a good response.

Well, you'll first have to answer to your bad record at your previous employer - and don't just say you were sick, 'cause even if you were, every scammer in the world has their own doctor's note, so if they weren't there to see how ill you were, it would be reasonable for them to assume you were sandbagging. (And even if you were really sick, there's still likely to be a concern on their part that the pattern could continue.)

Then, you'll have to clear up the matter of the incorrect information on your resume. This could be even trickier, since it's unlikely that you have a good excuse for it. The best you can hope for, I guess, is to suck it up, admit you were wrong, and give them the truth.

Even then, it's a longshot - they'd have to be pretty desperate to consider hiring someone who misrepresented themselves and who may be at risk for high absenteeism. Your time is probably better spent fixing your resume, sending it out, and trying to find a new lead.

try being honest if it comes up in ?. and tell them about all of your good stuff and that (here's the winner) you would make a great asset to the company if they gave you a fighting chance. but lying on a resume is not good dude it'll catch up to you!
