A question and anwer section about spirituality and religion has so many atheists and agnostics responding to questions. Christians are called dogmatic and narrow minded, yet athiests and agnostics are the same way. Ironic. Why do you anwser questions about god and spiritual matters when you dont even care? If you think it is frustrating to Christians or you are going to change Christians minds, get over it.

I did not fully think through what I wrote when I posed the question. When Christians ask questions about God, Bible, Jesus, the church, why are there so many atheists and agnostics anwsering. It is just annoying when one is trying to get some advice.

Non-believers make believers possible. If EVERYONE believed there would be no need for discussion of anything, for everyone would know.
Non-believers, more than anything else, make God exist.
Pradoxical, isn't it.
For a fire to grow it must be fanned, unattended it dwindles to ash.

There's a difference between a person who doesn't believe and a person who doesn't care. My kid brother and I thought we'd invented the word "apatheist" for people like him and his wife who don't care at all about God, religion, or the questions surrounding those subjects. (Being an apatheist, for example, he didn't care that a "Jesus" was snuck into his wedding vows by a notary public, as long as he was legally married. An atheist or agnostic might have been offended. But if you try talking to him about religion, he'll say "I think this is boring" and suggest another topic.)
Keep in mind too that as long as people calling themselves Christian try to affect government, education, and media in the name of their God, it does become non-Christians' issue. The rest of us have to deal with the consequences. Atheists have to send their children to schools where evolution and global warming and human reproduction are considered "controversial" topics. Y'all raise those controversies! So it's important for people to understand why.

Absolutely true... be prepared for the 3,269 reasons why it's different and validated when atheists or agnostics do it, accompanied by all kinds of insults and digs ....and there should be an entourage accompanied by a cheer-leading section, arriving in 5, 4, 3, 2.....

Well, gee, I'm sorry....but I spent the majority of my life as a Christian. So, I am able to answer questions about certain religions.
What I find funny is that you go on a rant about this being a religion and sprituality forum, yet you singled out Christians as the only victims. Get over it.

Not caring and not believing are TOTALLY different things. Some atheists and agnostics (like me) care.

Christians ask tons of questions about atheists here every day. Who is better qualified to answer them?
Thanks for the 2 points.

Completely agreed.
This is not a debate/political forum.
It's a Q&A thread.
These people need to treat it that way.

I find it "ironic" that you can't tolerate people who think for themselves and don't mind challenging discussions.

I'm here because I'm trying to broaden my horizons, to share ideas and information, and expose myself to other possible truths, rather than sit with my nose comfortably hidden in my ancient book.
