Make a time line for everyone, this way everyone knows the plan for the rehersal day and the big day. Give these to everyone in the wedding and anyone who is coordinating should help or get a copy. I would decide if i was making favors and put them together or order them. If you are serving food, I would line that all up. And make a list of all songs you want played for the dj. I forgot to take extra shoes when I left home, since I got married away from home. I also forgot photos so someone had to bring these items. (I almost forgot the dress, at the dry cleaners)

Expect the unexpected. You never know what might happen. Did you get some rice, or bubbles or something for the people as you leave to send you off?
What about thank you cards? might as well buy them now so you can have them out in a timely manner.
Promise yourself the morning of that no matter what happens you are a beautiful bride and you will have a great day. The important thing is you found someone you love. The wedding is just one day.

All the little things that you need for the day of the wedding...like makeup for touch ups, hair spray, any medicines you're taking, etc. I started making a list a month or more before and just kept adding to it if I thought of anything more. I know I carried way more than I needed but I'm one of those people that wants to be ready for every little thing that could happen. I recomend carrying pens and scissors since often you can't find them when you need them.

Favors and centerpieces (or at least the stuff for the centerpiece like vases and rocks, mirrors, candles or whatever) can all be done early and put aside. Also the programs can be done early as well. I wouldn't print them though--just in case you end up changing a bridesmaid or something. Deliver everything you can to the church the week before--programs, things needed in the bridal room, decorations. The less you are suppose to carry with you places on your wedding weekend the better.
Keep a good calendar so that you make your payments on time and about 2 weeks beforehand, you can call all those vendors and make sure they are all clear on time--when they need to deliver not time of wedding, date, directions etc. My florist delivered at 4pm for my 7pm wedding--luckily the church had people there b/c I hadn't even thought about having someone to meet the florist and let him in.
The only lil thing I wish I'd thought of at my wedding is to use my bridal party more. The groomsmen were extremely well organized (b/c my groom put everything off til the last minute and had to pick up the fountain, the wine, the stereo system all the day of)--but I had done so much advance things that I didn't use my bridesmaids that much.
I was allowed into my reception site on Thurs (for a Sat wedding) so I hung most of the decorations early. I also divided up what would go on each table into individual boxes. (candles, river rocks, the table camera and the vase) so that if for some reason I was unable to finish it--anyone could be sent over and would know what went on each table. Day of-I went to the site and put the centerpieces and arranged the flowers in the vase. That was all I had left to do for reception.
I wish I'd had basically a ladies maid. One of your bridesmaids (or friend) that just goes with you everywhere. I had so much on my mind that I ended up leaving a picture of how I wanted my hair at the salon (one of my prom pictures, gone forever now) and as I was about to walk down the aisle, I took my watch and glasses off. I wish I'd had someone run those out to the honeymoon luggage. The next morning at 6am, someone had to meet us at the airport with them.
Also, figure out who is in charge of returning tuxes. And who is going to the wedding night hotel room to get your gown and grooms tux. We rented a fountain and a stereo system. My cake also had a cake stand. Make sure you put someone in charge of returning all rental items. Perferably not the same person as that would be a lot of driving on their part.
As far as what step you should take next--I'd do dresses next. Bridesmaids dresses took me a while to find the right one. And then if you are hoping for a grooms tux to match--I've seen a lot of people have difficulties with that. And make your hair appointment. My hair is so thick that it required a 2 hour appt (much longer than usual) and most salons only have 1 person that does updos--the appointments are often made 3-4 months in advance for popular times of the year.
Just don't let one bad thing ruin your day. My mother was so stressed that she looks horrible in all the pictures. None could be used in my album. She wasn't even unhappy at all--just stressed. I hated my bouquet. I loved the bouquets he made for my bridesmaids and the alter arrangement but the bouquet he made for me looked NOTHING like what I asked for. But when I got it, there was nothing that could be done about it. No point in getting all worked up. So try to remain calm and serene, tranquil, and most of all happy. B/c this is the happiest day of your life, the first day of your marriage.

I forgot to include my uncle in our wedding party photographs-and he was the biblical verse reader. Shame on me. Remember, have a list of people and photos that you want taken. Although there is nothing I can do about this mistake, I hope this helps you!

it incredibly is form of problematic to declare, simply by fact interior the U. S., no one organizes our equivalent of a chicken occasion very almost a year in simple terms before time. additionally, as a common rule, the MOH (chief Bridesmaid) isn't having assorted conferences with the bride, fairly this a good distance out. Our version of a chicken occasion is exciting, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it incredibly is pulled jointly in a pair weeks, even much less. So all of this sounds severe to me. however the secret's that i do no longer think of it incredibly is honest to subtly ask somebody else to anticipate her duties with out the call. If there is somebody interior the bridal occasion you're on the factor of who's incredibly no longer insulted on the way she replaced into asked to be chief Bridesmaid (simply by fact it incredibly is extremely insulting) then do exactly this. Then ask the different lady if she'd fairly survive as bridesmaid or drop out completely. considering you do no longer care with regard to the friendship, that ought to artwork. yet once you're conversing to the guy you have the prefer to make MOH, renowned your individual function fairly than rip the different lady to shreds. such as you assert, the bride shouldn't cope together with her very own, yet on the comparable time, she needs to be careful to %. people who will pay attention to what form of journey she needs. You did no longer do this, and you ought to possess as much because it. in any different case, she would ask your self whether you will do the comparable element to her.
