ok, a guy just asked,why his dog hates lawnmowers,so iam asking, why do dogs chase cars? thanks.

Because in a lot of dogs it is just a natural instinct to chase down prey or to try and herd an animal. So thats how they view the car. Its just bred inside them.

Some high-drive dogs, especially herding dogs, will chase a car because it's what they were originally bred to do. Well...not to chase cars, per se... but with no cattle/sheep/etc around, they herd what they can.

i guess its just natural. most dog chase cars and lawnmowers.

It's called high prey drive and lack of training and discipline on the owners part.
