DIETING is the key. you can lift all the weights, run as many miles a day as you want, but if you are eating whatever instead of selected foods that are beneficial to the body, you WILL NOT get anywhere..if you are serious about losing weight, you HAVE to get serious baout your diet.
here are some really basic things to do.
- eat 5-6 small meals a day.. in your case, i would reduce consumpion of foods that have a high carbohydrate content to about 80- 100 grams/ day... the carbs you can and should eat are whole wheat pasta, whole wheat breads, yams, brown rice, corn, peas...
- no fast foods or junk foods, nothing fried, avoid salty foods and foods that have added sugar
- eat more vegetables and fruits, the natural starch and sugars in fruits like corn and pears is actualy benefical to the body instead of the salt you'ld find in popcorn, chips etc.
- drink lots of water.. id say about 10-12 glasses a day(80-96oz.)... yea i know 8 glasses of water is recommended but thats for normal people who dont have weight loss goals.. I personally drink a gallon thru the course of the day and i have lost that stubborn belly fat around the belly button thats so hard to lose for guys.. all just by drinking more water, mind you i excercise regularly.
- eat lean meats i.e. Tuna, Chicken breast(no skin), turkey, lean ground beef
- when starting to diet, walk atleast half an hour a day, let your body get used to moving around at a consistent pace.
those are some really basic and easy to follow tips.. just remember when you start dieting, results do take time... so if you're 2 weeks into dieting and you dont see a big difference... then thats normal.. your body NEEDS time to adjust to your newly adapted eating habits and activities. so dont get stressed out.. keep doing these things and you WILL see results. good luck!

Exercising will help, so maybe you are not doing the exercising right, you're not giving it a chance, or you're not exercising enough times per week. Plus eat healthy. Eating right and exercising should be a part of your life not only for your weight but your health too. It should like brushing your teeth everyday. Don't give up on exercise. Exercise is SO GOOD FOR YOU!!!! Try all kinds of exercising, exercise classes like aerobics, studio cycling, weight training, swimming. Move your body everyday. Just think move and sweat. If you didn't sweat that day, that means you didn't move your body. Educate yourself as much as possible so you can learn the benefits of exercising. Give yourself aleast a few months to see results, then you will keep moving in the right direction............ a healthy body.

See a nutritionist or your doctor. They should be able to give you good advice on how to lose weight. But keep up the exercising! Don't stop doing that. You may need to reduce your caloric intake. Eat more vegetables and fruits, and fewer meats, fats and carbs (bread, pasta, potatoes, etc). Don't eliminate those from your diet, though. Try to find a good balance. It's best if you can find a good diet plan with a nutritionist or doctor. Good luck!

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
stick to something one - to get permanent results you need to make permanent changes - temporary changes will give you temporary results

You don't exercise well enough then. The only way to lose weight is burn more calories than you take in. Eat less and exercise. No magic pill is going to do it for you.

I believe that the first thing you should do, if you want to loose some weight, is to stop eating "junk food".Also, you can visit a dietician because he is able to find the diet that "fits" you the most, in order to loose the weight you want!
