It depends on how big the rocks are. Our puppy RIP used to eat rocks all the time. We asked the VET about it and he said that it was for the most part normal most dogs do it. We just needed to wacth out for any signs of intestinal blockage. Because a rock that was too large could cause one. The signs we took her to the VET after seeing was lack of apetite rubbing her side against things because of the irriation and lack of going to the bathroom.
She had a really large rock inside of her to large for her to pass on her own and needed surgery to remove it.
I would just keep an eye on her and take her to the VET if she has any abnormal signs or symptoms!! Good luck with her.

Are you feed her enough?? Lactating mom's need a great deal of food to keep their milk coming in good supply. She should be fed 4 times a day and be allowed to eat as much as she can, and always have plenty of clean water available to her.

i could be very worried approximately this. My dogs ate rocks and ended up with a abdomen soreness and had to bypass, or she'd want surgical operation. Get them each and each a kong, fill it with peanut butter and kibble and freeze in one day. additionally, it can be a stable thought to no longer enable them to outdoors on my own.

Get her to a vet...eating rocks will cause an intestinal blockage at the very least. Possibly worse. A.S.A.P.

I know that when dogs have upset stomachs they tend to eat grass. Maybe this is another version of that. Also, when humans get pregnant they tend to get wierd cravings, such as eating dirt and other wierd things. Maybe this happens with dogs also.

my sis's golden lab does the same thing. She didn't have pups, she's fixed..but all the time she's chewin on rocks from the garden, or sticks..then yes..throws them up*...my sis trys to get it away from her but the dog seems to do it anyhow*
As far as I know...many dogs do this....not sure what's better..them chewing on rocks or sticks or eating their "doings"....my sis's dog thank god doesn't eat her own doings like some dogs do..but ya..when you find out HOW to stop them from doing this....let me know* Thanks*

You could try changing her dog food. Sometimes the food they eat makes their sense of smell confused and she may be thinking the rocks are food.

She needs mineral suplaments.
Be sure her food is rich enough to provide food for the pups.

This is a natural instinct for dogs. They eat gravel and such to clear out their digestive tract. It's the doggie version of "roughage". :)
No, I'm serious. :)
