Christian's don't base their whole life on a man made book, for starters. They base it on a real relationship with Jesus Christ. God is the word. The Word was since the beginning. The bible is God's Word. I believe it to be, not altered/ unaltered enough that the basic confirmation and message is still in tact. People use man made books in all kinds of belief systems, from evolution to atheism, basically every belief system relies on "man made" books.
SO the answer is NO. Why treat Christians different because of their book.?

Wouldn't that leave the Eastern Patriarchies (Orthodox Christians) out of the scene? Fact of it is that they are basically the Paulian sect of Judaism.

We base our faith on the teachings and life of Jesus. Yes, the book was written by men, but it was written by men who knew the truth. Do some research and you'll see that the Bible is truth. Don't just consider it discredited because a man wrote it. A man wrote the DaVinci Code, but that doesn't mean it's true.

But then they'd have to admit that their faith is based far more on later writings than on anything that Jesus actually said.

Can you imagine the crisis of faith that would cause? The Nicean-era church fathers are nasty dudes.

Acts 11:26 says that Christ's followers were so called by "divine providence," mean it was a name chosen by God.

We have been called many things by unbelievers so I guess one more title will make little difference pal.
