Of course. Putting Jesus in any leadership position is good. However, Jesus is already in a leadership position, and it out-ranks being Capitain of the Starship Enterprise in a major way.

humm.
do you know the movie when they meet an entity that claim he's God, and he asks (he demands, actually) for the enterprise and Kirk asks the entity :"What does God need with a spaceship?"
Well. I always think about this movie, its the diferences between theists and atheists. I'd never have questioned God!! And in the end they just come up with the silliest hipothesys that the entity could read their minds and pretend to be anything that it sees in there. I think Kirk did wrong.
Although, there is no question he is better than picard
