You know, make them have a minimum wage, equivilant to ours, and develop the country down there..so the illegals can go home,...dollar for dollar, I bet that it would cost less than our government is spending now, to keep them here...

Becausr Vincente Fox is a hypocrite who doesn't give a rats butt about his own people. He supports a zero tolerance illegal immigration on Mexico's border with Guatamala, yet encourages his people to enter our country illegally. The Mexican government prints brochures on how to dress, what to look for to make it easier. I guess since he can't effectively run his own country, he has to pass the responsibility on to our nation.

We do.......we can't FORCE another country to do our bidding. You should contact the Mexican officials and ask them. Their country is far from poor. They just don't care to do anything about it.

We have sent jobs down there. I mean what more do you think we have the obligation to do? There's people throughout the world living in worse conditions than they are in Mexico. It's not like we have a magic wand.........The people living here send BILLIONS to Mexico every year and all it's done is raise the cost of living. Our government sends money. They get money from private donations. Our jobs are going there.......comes a time when they should stand on their own instead of relying on hand outs.

I would only support giving funds to Mexico if they built jails with the money and put all of the deporties form the US that we threw back at them.If the illega ls were facing a 6 month or so jail time for leaving Mexico, they would think it over before leaving their country. It is rare to hear about such a problem in other countries, they protect their borders better than we do.

this whole amnesty thing is driving me nuts...seriously...if they are illegal ship them back to where they came from..there are plenty of others that do it the right way...and even then our country is getting overpopulated very quickly...look at the rate the population is increasing! I think we should fix the problems here before worrying about elsewhere...this country has enough problems...just going into any major city should make it evident...its all going "downhill" rather quickly if you ask me...it seems were more divided within and "a country divided cannot stand united"
so in my opinion sending them money would just add to our problems...I say stop giving them anything, and if a company has known illegals working for them, make them pay back all those earnings that they payed out to a program designed to keep the illegals out...not letting them in in the first place would solve many problems

We give between 33 and 50 million dollars per year to Mexico. In 1995 we gave a staggering 20 billion dollars to help shore up the peso.
Mexico has an abundance of natural resources that could more than ensure a good life for the mexican people.
However the number one reason that doesn't happen is because of government corruption.
Mexicans who love their country should be working to get rid of the corruption, not asking for more handouts that end up in some crooks pocket.

Why don't we just start handing out serious prison time to people who hire them. And rent to them. And furnish them with health care. And allow them into our schools? They would soon leave on their own. I don't care if they go back to Mexico or to Canada or Australia. We CAN force them to leave without spending much money.

So, do you think the US does not send money to Mexico now?

How could the US enforce legislation in Mexico?

you cant MAKE other countries do things that they dont want to do. you are saying you "bet that it would cost less"..... it costs a lot more money to rebuild a country than to have illegal immigrants come to our country and work here and bring more money into the united states than into mexico.

Why should our country have to pay to keep Mexicans in their own country?

Why should we build them homes when they take ours? Why should we give them minnimum wage jobs in their country when they're taking the minnimum wage jobs in ours? Why build hospitals for them to use when they can't even afford their own country's medical care? Why do they deserve amnesty and freedom from our government while our ancestors had to fight and die to protect it?

Say no to amnesty. Say no to helping.

DEPORT!

it should not be our problem of anything that happens or needs to be done in mexico, that should be up to the citizens to make these things happen, fox is encouraging people to come here because he doesn't want these people either, it's his way to clean out the undesirables and send them here.
