They mocked Jesus as well, and He predicted that we would be hated because of our belief in him. But Christ has overcome the world.
John 16:33 I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
Gal 6:7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reapes what he sows.

I think that they should read that book by the Human Genome scientist who's a devout Christian. or anything by CS Lewis or JRR Tolkein--there've been a lot of intelligent, well educated people throughout history who have ALSO been devout Christians. Doesn't mean that some aren't idiots as well, and willfully ignorant, and stupid--but there are non-Christians that fall into both categories too. People need to stop making generalizations and having such baseless prejudices against someone, no matter what the person's beliefs are or aren't.

Whoever said that is at a place in life where he/she can only believe what he/she sees. Assuming they will continue to grow and change as humans are meant to do, this person will eventually grow to realize how foolish that kind of statement is. People like that look at one type of Christian and assume that is how all Christians are. I've been there, done that, and have moved on to a more open minded life. I always say, "A lot of the smartest people I know are Atheists, but ALL of the wise people I know are ex-Atheists."

I think it's rude. I'm not Christian anymore, I'm Pagan, but I grew up with some extremely well-educated conservative Christians. My youth group had a lot of Advanced Placement students who went on to some good colleges (not just Liberty and Regent). I also don't think that Evangelicals became the force that they are in modern politics by being stupid.

The someone who said it cannot be a Christian and has said it out of ignorance. God does not want us to discard our minds but desires us to have the mind of Christ who knows all things. Christians are well educated and informed in the natural as well as supernatural things. Christians know beyond the natural knowledge of non-Christians..

This notion reflects the degree of poor education and ignorance which the author accuses Christians of having. Very ironic.

People can be so ignorant sometimes.
I am very well educated with 3 degrees and also a faithful follower of my Lord..
Ever hear this saying, 'Ignorance is bliss and they are blissfully happy'.. It applies to many on here.
Your question is a good one this morning, thanx..

This is a well worn and senseless comment used by those who believe themselves to be intellectually superior, they say that we live in modern times and have no need of religion or faith and of course the truth is simply that they are puffed up with pride and posess a rather large ego.
I find that they are pompous and very arrogant people who need to be humbled and one day in later life, they will be.
