geez there were only 3 answers out of 24 that i even remotely agree with.
there arn't many paths there is only one however all religions fall under the basic rule and the basic rule is love on another, live in peace and harmony with one another, and follow your heart. the promblem comes when people take these basic rules and then add their own rules and say this is now a religion and if you want to go to heaven you better follow what i say. they don't realize there is one creator of all things and it doesn't care what name you choose to call it as long as you live by the basic rules. it doesn't care if your a jew, a buddihst, islam, hindu, wiccan, atheist, what ever just be kind to your fellow man and don't destroy what was created for you.

Humans do the same thing. Any leader or owner who has people under him or her, sets the direction for people to follow.
You need repair work for your house. You hire people. Do you just say, "Do what you want." Or do you tell them exactly what you want repaired or upgraded? Also, before you give them the final check, don't you look over the project to see if it done to your satisfaction? Of course! Now why should you think God would be any different? Especially since the gift he gives will be life everlasting!
An Iranian friend once told me about Samallia. He said the smart ones are the ones we see because they got out! The rest have no sense of laws. There are no real roads because they just take off in any direction. Now I am not sure how much of that is true; but, it does show the folly of not having any standards.
Fortunately, God is very orderly. Everything demonstrates this. The placement of the earth in relation to the sun and other planets. Being placed 23.5% off axis is precisely right for life. Having the moon where it is allows life and climate changes to exist.
It makes sense for Him to have a certain way He desires to be worshipped. It would be a reasonable path. He would have the instructions written down. It would lead to more benefits than just going about it like a new puppy does with a new home, running around everywhere, sniffing everything.

think of roughly THIS. human beings don't have the skill of even "imagining" what it may be prefer to be Almighty God, no longer to point DO something that He does. and that's an rather stable factor. many human beings, including your self, have the incorrect approach. you're shrieking out anger and rage in each and every person of those examples, yet you do no longer understand why those issues are even occurring. Why are you're pointing the finger at God and blaming Him for circumstances that are produced by using human beings in the 1st place? If we are people who make those issues ensue, why carry out a little human beings think of this is God who might desire to preserve the outcomes? this is like telling a 5 twelve months previous new child that he/she is responsible for YOU getting mugged mutually as you jogged in the park.

If we don't look at what God has said, we'd only be speculating. To give an answer, you have to quote Him.
You have turned things around, as if the potter were the same as the clay. How can what is made say about its maker, “He didn’t make me”? How can what is formed say about the one who formed it, “He doesn’t understand [what he’s doing]”?
Isaiah 29:16
Jesus said, "I am the Road, also the Truth, also the Life. No one gets to the Father apart from me.
John 14:6
Oh - and why would anyone say that there are ways you can't answer a question? Sounds narrow minded and exclusive to me! ;)

Your question is a little confusing. Wouldn't one path be easier than requiring multiple paths? There is one path, but it is probably the most simple path. All he wants you to do is ask and you shall recieve. No catches, no hidden strings, just comes as you are.
Does your question imply that since God is all powerfull he should have made a more intellectually challenging path? His path is easy and made for anyone of any background.

After thinking this over, disregarding many answers that come to mind, I ask you this:
Would there have been any point to God NOT making one "path" to Him?
If a father told his child to come directly home after a school function, would he give the child many options of ways to come home knowing that all but one path would take the child way off course and would mean the child would be very late in coming home....IF he survived, that is, since only one had any sort of protection, streetlights, etc.,.?
Think about it.

Why should he make more than one path? Since he is God, and he holds all of the cards so to speak, what is to stop him from dictating terms to us?
Having more than one path implies that he is forced to negotiate with human beings as equals. Why should God accept us on whatever terms are acceptable to us? Why should God accept our religion?
An all powerful God can afford to say, it is his way or the highway, and no one can really argue with him.

The 99 glorious names/attributes of Allah swt are well balance and inter collaborated, finally the resultant comes out as one and Unique, "Allah" swt.
HIS quality of All-Power full is well guided by other quality, All-Wise and All-Just.
HIS rage and fury, is covered by the thick clouds of HIS being Oft-Forgiving and All-Merci-full.
HE selected the right path for us, Islam, kept on growing and updating up to completion from Adam pbuh to Muhammad pbuh.
The growth and refinement of HIS path was according to the collective growth of humans. The religion was got finalised and completed when the overall and collective maturity of human mind was reached to its ultimate highest level.
so the series of Prophet hood was sealed after Muhammad pbuh.

there are 2 paths, good or evil, we have the choice..
The path of rightousness is of God, the other of Satan.
Why would we need other paths? Theres only one path to Heaven.. We don't have a maybe path.

the whole reason we NEED a "path" i because we are all sinners.. we can't just have a free ticket to redemption..you need to realise that he is the one and only god so therefore there is only one path to being saved.
