In the meat sections i like to make

- Hotdogs
- Pork chops
- lamb chops
- Chicken breasts
- Shrimps
- Any fish

And on the veggie section

- Zuccini
- tomatoes
- eggplant
- onions
- belpepper
- Pumpkin
Try making a bbq eggplant and tomato salad and lamb chops. It goes really well together. The recipe follows

BBQ eggplant and tomato salad

1. Put little slits on the eggplant skin
2. Oil the eggplant and put it in the bbq till soft (takes about 30 minutes for a medium sized eggplant)
3. Oil and BBQ the tomatoes for about 8 minutes
4. Skin the eggplant and mash it (using forks, so it is a little chunkie)
5. Mash the tomatoes with skin
6. Mix it with the eggplant
7. Add olive oil, red bell pepper (fresh), salt, pepper.
8. Decorate with basil and baby spinach

BBQ lambchops

1. Marinade in tomato pure, vinegar, salt, ginger and garlic paste and pepper for almost 2 hours
2. BBQ in medium-high heat till you think its done ( atleast 20 minutes, 10 minutes each side. I like it well done so I keep it for about 35 minutes, 15 one side and 20 other)

I had a bbq on saturday - we ate

homemade burgers - you need mince (20%fat to stay moist and juicy) , mix in some breadcrumbs ( about 1/4 of the volume of mince) one egg per 6 ish burgers and some salt and pepper. And what ever else you fancy - chopped onion, peppers, chilli, herbs etc......

and chicken tikka kebabs - i used tesco tandoori powder - (with the herbs and spices) and mixed it with 0%fat greek yogurt, mixed in chicken pieces, skewered the meat and hey presto....

and monkfish tails - dices and marinaded with lemon and pepper.

yum. love it all, but always gotta have the burgers.

My favorite is Strawberry Shortcake and I make it myself. I make the cake from scratch and I like to use fresh berries whenever possible. Poke holes in the layers and put berries in between them so that the juice from the berries drains into them. This makes the cake really moist and delicious. I use cream cheese icing. Some times homemade others store bought. I almost forgot, I put some of the juice from the berries in the batter. Yummy!!!

Fish (Dorada) cleaned, stuffed with fennel, thyme and lemon. Wrapped in greaseproof paper then in tin foil. Leave the top slightly open (loose) put the parcel on the BBQ rack (not a raging inferno) for about 20 mins.
