I respect Your choice, why do you not respect mine?
I respect Your God/Belief/Disbelief, why don't you respect mine?
I respect Your choices, why don't you respect mine?
I try to take sole responsibilty for my actions, why don't You try?
I don't condemn You to any kind of suffering why am I condemned?
I do not force You to think my way, why do you keep trying....

I think you can be "a tad bit fanatic" and give respect to other people. The strength of your convictions should have no bearing on your respect of your fellow man's right to theirs. And there are times where it is appropriate to air differences in conviction, exspecially when you see other lines of thought leading to tragic consequences. However, one should try to keep things in perspective and realize that no matter how dire a situation might seem to you, others might not hold it so. Therefore, if you seek to change the views of others, you should gather evidence for your convictions and argue them fervently, but do so in appropriate venues, such as this one, and with proper respect for the right of the other person to hold their views, if not respect for the views themselves.
