seem to have this idea that born again Christians are so boring and no fun to be around. I am a Christian and I have a lot of fun in my life and always have. We don't just sit around and sing hymns all the time and have our noses stuck in the Bible all day although those are not bad ideas. We do many of the same things non christians do. We have a lot of fun and have lots of friends. We are not boring. Why do so many people think we are?

Father Guido--how very rude you are. I can be well educated and Bible believing at the same time. I think some of you post things to see if you can get Christian to respond in a non-Christian way. I'm not going to. I will simply say it is quite possible to be well educated and well informed and believe, love and serve God and know many many people who fit that description.

Because they have to imagine that our lives are horrible. The only way they can justify refusing God is that they want to be in control and that we Christians must be dull and brain washed. How wrong they are. God bless you.

I think you're just assuming that non-believers think Christians are boring. Not all Christians are boring. Maybe you're just boring. Who knows? I know plenty of fun Christians, but I'm going to have to go with glitterkitty in that I have a different idea of fun than you probably do.

Hi Kymr,
As someone else already said, I think it is probably a stereotype. Plus, some people's definition of fun normally has to do with things that might be hurtful to oneself or others. I think of drinking too much and spreading rumors or making fun of others.
Some of the best fun I've had (though it wasn't with born again Christians) was with some traditional Catholics and Eastern Rite Catholics who put together a how down... that is, they had square dancing and invited a bunch of people to participate. It was great. It was in Virginia and we did the Virginia reel and everything!

Many non-Christians may become easily bored with the lifestyles they are leading because they do not get motivated to seek happiness and satisfaction in what they do to help others and in spiritual pursuits(worship).. Many are never satisfied with anything they have because of greed. Many seek satisfaction in the physical pleasures and in selfish motivations. There are only five pleasures of the body: sight, sound(music), touch(sex), taste (eating) and smell. When these run out, they become bored with other aspects of living that would hold their interest with a simple change of outlook.

To be fair, when a lot of people say this, they're assuming fun = intoxication and promiscuity, something that I think most people--BA or not-- would agree is not necessarily the case if they really thought about it. I'm between religions myself, but in my brief BA period in college part of what attracted me was that the BA community was both fun and safe... Yes, it has its share of judgmental weirdoes, but that isn't everybody, or even a significant minority.

i think of that maximum cristians already *comprehend* that they are incredibly worshipping a stone age magic e book, an imaginary "messiah" and an imaginary "god" communicate approximately SUPERSTITION human beings ! maximum cristians are actually not even conscious of the quantity of their delussions. Many contained in u.s. of u.s. are cristian, ok... in the event that they have been all born in say Saudi Arabia, then that they had fairly probable be muslims, or born in india, a threat muslim or hindu. My element is that the cristians contained in u.s. of u.s. shop on with the parable of jesus, simply by area of delivery "lottery" that we are all concern to. they're in simple terms following the sheep with out *incredibly* thinking for themselves. I study the bible and grew to grow to be an atheist, it incredibly is the main absurd self proclaimed 'holy' e book I certainly have ever come throughout. the certainty that there is multiple distinctive religions around the globe form of things to the certainty that they are all guy made with out intervention from any supernatural "gods". If the Egyptians have been precise approximately their faith and gods, then we would nevertheless be buring our ineffective in pyramids and worshipping cats ! guy is the real inventor of many "Gods" - certainty. Which one do you prefer to worship? properly, it relies upon on the place you're born, yet they're all as imaginary simply by fact the subsequent.

Maybe it's because you write priggy little questions like this one ... it could just be you those people find boring.
TripleTattoo's answer is very funny - I wonder how he would describe the daily life of an average "they" ...
Or Mellivora ... he also seems fond of ignorant generalisations.
I wonder if jess4rsake has ever actually met any non-Christian ... what a load of crap.

I know several Born Again Christians who are a lot of fun.
But eventually some topic of conversation comes up and reveals the huge empty expanse between their ears and it makes me shudder.
You CANNOT be well educated and well informed and be a Bible Believing Born Again Christian.
You may think you are, but .......you're not.

Because many of the people who post on this board that call themselves Christians prove the exact opposite every day here.
