I'm not sure about Mexico but it will help cut down money sent to terrorists from our country.I suppose in a way after I think about it, it would help cut down on illegal immigration too.Which is EVERYONE's ultimate goal.Because maybe some of the money from the gangs might be being sent there to bring more members here along with the good ones who just want to work. So, yes I think it would be good.

At the local grocery store, on pay days, there is a line of hispanics at the window getting Western Union money orders to send money home. The spend some in the store, but, the most of it is going to mexico. This is hurting our economy more than if we sent all the illegals home and the price of wages increased somewhat. Our economy would actually benefit. Place officers, ICE, anyone with the authority to enforce the law and ask for proper ID at these places, the problem would begin to dwindle down. The same at hospital ER's. Place an immigration officer at those places to check for proper paperwork and ID, and the drain on our medical system would decrease and the legal citizens of this great country that everyone wants to be a part of would be able to benefit with lowered medical costs. There is an article on the internet giving an example using the Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Read that then multiply it by all the charity hospitals in the USA, and see how much the government could give back to every legal US citizen. One person has guesstimated near one million dollars per person could be given to legal US citizens if this was stopped.

If the IRS targeted all the money transfer places that would help. I'd love to see the IRS start matching the ID's of people who send money with their tax returns (assuming they filed in the first place).

Target in what way? Charging higher fees to send the money order or use this as a way of identifying illegal aliens?

Well....this is the big farce that our government is choking down our throats..the illegals that live behind me, take their money from the welfare, while their recipients live in Mexico..using a false address here...this is common place..and they also send money there, and spend their money in t.j...tiajuana...so much for putting back into the system,..also, many of them work under the table, to get the lowest wages the crooked employers can offer...so with all the rules this government has, i can't understand why western union or anyone else would participate in this practice, except for the obvious MONEY
