Well the simple answer is that their male. The long answer is that males spend 4 hours a day erect (spread out the day, mostly during sleep).

Mostly an issue with them caused by how you look to them. Do you dress conservatively or not? If you are very young (pre-teen or early teen) then don't worry. They will grow out of it eventually.
