The next time that you two have a conversation, ask Him why He never intervened while priests were molesting children.

You have made an assertion, presented an idea, put forth a claim. It is entirely up to me if I elect to believe. A belief is simply an idea or concept which one is willing to act upon.
To believe often depends not on what is said; but upon what one already believes about a number of concepts formed by personal experience. ( I may be a real skeptic and not even believe it is morning where you are; or the nurse has yet to show with your meds.)
There is no way to prove your statement one way or another; without knowing what was said and proving it by the word.
The bottom line: I often suspend opinion on questions of this nature and, somewhat like the prophet Jeremiah, say: Well praise the Lord, I hope it is so. Would that God speak to every man and that every man would listen.
"Love....believeth... all things."

I believe you spoke to God this morning.
Not up for me to believe or disbelieve you. Your life is in your own hands. You are the captain of your own ship. Your life will go in the direction you guide it.
Why would you lie about something like talking to God? That is private and between you and God.

Everyone can speak to God. But in what capacity? As one of His sons or as just another man speaking to Him. Did God acknowledge that you spoke to Him and gave you an answer?

Sorry, I don't believe you. If I were to travel around the globe, there are millions that would tell me that they spoke with their god, gods, spirits or ancestors. All of them would be very sincere in their beliefs and many of them would be considered very moral people even by your standards.

Dude, speaking to yer 'old man downstairs' is not quite what the others on here would called communing with god.
however worshiping the god in your pants is a faith you should be able to use more readily than most faiths at least you can prove god exists!

Assuming that you did actually pray (or whatever you call it) you spoke to your 'inner self'.
