Magic and witchcraft (or wiccan etc) and the astral don't go hand in hand. They each stand on their own.

I can't say much about magic but I do know how to project. I learned how to do this consciously and purposefully about 6 years ago.

I learned from a site called www.gnosticweb.com. It is a very straight forward and practical site full of excellent information for the beginner or seasoned traveler. All of the info is free, even the free on line courses like Astral Travel and Dreams.

This is the place where I learned to project.

Oh and the the link you posted claiming to be a portal isn't very credible to me.

Conscious separation from the physical body occurs at the moment sleep arrives if you are well concentrated on what ever technique. I imagine if you stared at the screen for a long time while concentrating on the circle, as you fell asleep you could find yourself in the astral but most likely it wouldn't work.

In my opinion, if you are really interested in astral projection then the site I mentioned would be a good place to start.

Astral Traveling is not only for Pagans and so on....I am a Witch I comply with the Celtic direction. I am additionally a licensed, identified, verified and tremendously revered Psychic Healer. I Astro Travel in recent years particularly plenty. I use no approaches and so on...its yet another reward, capability I have. Sharing my up to date Travel reviews is some thing I won't do sorry this form of remedy, safeguard paintings may be very touchy and have got to be performed with care. I am curious as to why you ask? You look very indignant and to not offend you but additionally wouldn't have a transparent actual information of Astro journey/projection. The motive at the back of you asking is certainly one of damage my recommendation is to do not anything. Blessings, Proud Witch & Psychic Healer

I did look at the optical "illusion" on the page with the link, but did not look around. The circle medallion is an ancient way to depict a tunnel; once you start to see the center as being the end receding into the background (perspective), you are seeing a three-dimensional image where you know, intellectually, it is on a flat surface. Some Tarot decks manage to introduce a fourth dimension onto a flat surface. Tricks of the artist's trade.

I put "illusion" in quote marks because it does say something significant about magick. Fact is, most magick is in the mind. That doesn't make it false, but simply points out where it takes place.

For example, when a witch designs a charm or a spell (not just following one she is taught, but designing one), she chooses elements that will focus her mind, both conscious and unconscious, on her goal. This is learning to listen to the True Will and work with it. She chooses the color of the candle, the type of incense, the chants, physical objects and number of repetitions based on her knowledge of the symbols she uses and the reasons behind them.

Magick is not working AGAINST nature, but WITH her.

Sorry, this is a form of self-hypnosis and "self-suggestion". Not astral travel at all. Using this kind of a site will allow to hypnotise yourself and then through desire, give yourself the subliminal suggestion that you are traveling to where you want to be. It would not be true astral projection and what you saw would not be real.

Although it is one of my gifts over which I have never been able to develop control (really I guess I have just never tried), but I will give you an example of true astral projection....

As I was drifting off to sleep one night, I was thinking about a discussion that a friend of mine who lives in England and I had. I live in the US, but we had been discussing her pub, or the one near her home where she went regularly. Somewhere between being awake thinking of our conversation and completely falling asleep, I found myself in an alley near a dumpster. I noted a few things and walked to the sidewalk. I turned left, saw a sign, a pub, a door, and noted a few details. I have never been to England in my life and a day or two later, when I described what I had seen, she said it was exactly the her pub looked.

It is not something I have ever been able to do intentionally, but occasionally I have things like this happen. What was it?? I had somehow managed to project myself to England and find my firend's pub. It was mostly my desire to see her pub that prompted the "trip".

Back to the original question though, no, the mentioned website is not a way to learn astral projection. Best of luck on your search. Remember to always have an anchor when projecting.
