In my experience,no. I had a what I thought was a close christian friend. He knew I was atheist, but asked me to go to church. I told him OK,but I would "fake" nothing. I really enjoyed the fellowship part,as they were pretty 'square" as am I. however, when I decided the pressure was too great for me to "go to the altar"I quit going. None of my "friends" there have spoken to me since. I did not change,I didn't start eating babies. I simply quit going because I wasn't going to fake it. Some friends

Whether in Church or in the World, I choose my friends carefully.
I would not say that one could make ALOT of friends by going to Church.
Everyone's experience will be different.

Yes, a person can make a lot of friends. I've got A LOT of friends that I know from Church. They have very well become part of my family. I've even adopted a couple to be my godparents as I don't know who mine are or where they are.

Yes you can, unless you go to a church that believes that they are the saved and people like you are not. So go to a church that has people like you in it.
