Dear, God is with you every second, every minute, every hour. Open your heart to God. He's there listening right now! Don't give up hope. He still loves you. Start with a prayer first, ask Him to guide your Holy Spirit, ask for forgiveness. Love take over revenge/hatred. Learn to forgive your ex. Let Him lead and guide you the way He wants you to be. God loves to find His lost sheep (remember the parable of the lost sheep - Luke 15:1-7). I was once a lost sheep too! God bless. Hope you could cast your burdens unto Him!

Read your bible and pray and one other thing. Really believe. Really believing means obeying. John 3:36. The word Apeltheo is translated in the KJV Believeth not but actually in its full meaning is to disbelieve implying disobedience so should be rendered does not obey.
Reference this with Romans 11: and Hebrew 3 and 4 also 1 Corinthians 10:1-13 then go read Numbers11, 12, 13 and 14 for a clear understanding of disbelief.
Understand that In Hebrews 10 where it says I will put my law in their hearts and upon their minds I will write them is a quote from Jeremiah 31 and that when the original was given there was only one law. The difference is a law that is obeyed out of fear of God, written on tablets of stone, or obeyed out of love for God, written on you heart and mind.

Don't listen to the "open-minded" people on here giving you a hard time about your faith. Just talk to God. He knows what you are going through but he just wants you to ask him for help. Pray first and ask for the discipline to take time out of your day and read his word. Things will get better. And remember grace, because of grace, you are no worse now than you were before you stopped being faithfull. You don't have to make up a bunch of ground to return to where you were. You are already there in God's eyes. He's been waiting on your with open arms.

Start praying and studying the bible again. If you are Catholic you should go to confession.
Try to be more attentive to others around you, they are made in the image and likeness of God and are or can become temples of the Holy Spirit.

Spending time with Christians, reading the Bible, reading books about faith. C.S. Lewis F.W. Boreham, Joni Erickson etc. Quiet time reading the Bible and thinking about what I have read is the best for me.

Prayer, reading the Bible all very good. But it is very important to get yourself under sound preaching of God's Word. If you need a recommendation email me.

Even Jesus asked at one time, "Why have you forsaken me?" Of course, He had not been forsaken, but His perception at a moment of great pain was that He had been. God knows your heart and God knows the path you chose to follow when you accepted His Son. By asking the question you have gotten closer and through your experience you also have grown as a Christian.

Often, the answer lies within yourself.
Start off slowly, say thank you to God every now and again when something good happens. This will help you become more positive and will help begin rebuilding your relationship with God.
If you feel overwhelmed, you could go to Christian psychologist.

Ask Him to forgive you and give you a forgiving spirit. Many people fall away but then you get the empty feeling again and long to get back to where you were. You must forgive yourself too. When God forgives us He can do something we cannot do - He can and does forget our sins. Just get somewhere quiet and ask Him to draw alongside you. He knows your heart and He will. You have to make the first move (which you have by setting this question). God bless you.
