Women weren't taught to write back when the Bible was being written, and that's why the Bible says women must submit to men. Men wrote it!!

Well, everyone knows it has been a "man's world" for a very long time. Yes, the Bible was written by men and only the books of Ruth and Ester deal exclusively with women. But, does that mean it is demeaning of women or even detrimental? I say no.
Another writer told you it was about submission. We submit to Christ and follow his example. What was this example? Did he Lord it over the people? No. He was a servant and thought of others needs. Needs I might add that led him to willingly give up his life.
So, where does that leave us? Men get to "rule"? Not exactly. Men are to be servants, thinking of their family first. Stand up to any danger or problem and if necessary die to protect the ones he loves.
So when and how do we "pull rank?" Before my wife and I married she was friends with people that had a home church. They wanted us to join, but I did not like what they stood for or said. After one meeting they only invited her to attend and be with them. I even got the thought they were trying to pull us apart and set her up with another fellow. I sat my girlfriend down and told her "If we are to going to marry I have to be the head of the house. I told her my problems with these people. Then I said "if you love and trust me I must ask you never to speak with them again or attend a service. Do not even say hi to them."
It was a very hard thing to ask, but I knew there was no middle ground. So, when there is no middle ground and a choice must be made the husband gets to cast the deciding vote. Sure, you could use these versus to keep women down, but you will answer for it one day.
Another example would be our family structure. I work and my wife is a stay home mom that works as a Nurse a couple of nights a week. She could easily support us with a full time job, but she is a wonderful nurturer. I am not. I am a disciplinarian. I could get a better job, but it would pull me away from the family and put stress on me that might cause me to be a worse person.
So, since she stays home with the kids you would think that means she has to do all of the domestic stuff. She does a lot of it, but not because I demand it. If things do not get done I do not ask why or berate her for it. I try and help with the dishes, laundry, and general cleaning. As a result our house is a mess most of the time.
As for lower intelligence, read the wife of noble character, or Ruth or Ester, or read up on other women in the Bible. If you need help I will give you several verses to show you how smart these women are.
My wife can be naive at times, but if she did not do the bills we would be living in the super large HDTV box outside of the home we no longer own.

It's like in military command. There are plenty of times when it is necessary to know in advance who is the boss, because in an emergency, you won't have time to debate. So the man is the captain, and the woman the First Mate (as it were).
However, when you say it like that, you have to acknowledge that an even better way is to know in advance who is the more knowledgeable and the more capable of deciding well quickly in a given situation. In that case, it might be either the man or the woman, depending on their different experience and skills.
And that may or may not be the same in all cases. For example, most people would probably assume that in the kitchen, the woman is the more competent, and should be in command. But My Steve was a much better cook than I am.
Still, our hind brains are the oldest part, where we respond out of instinct instead of logic. And the hind brain also carries gender identity and sexual arousal. So the man-in-command part is to a good degree hard-wired into the hind brain, and it takes a real diplomat of a woman to be in control as much as necessary without damage to the man's ego and therefore to his sexual function. Prescription drugs are no substitute for male pride, my dear!

I had much the same argument with my EX husband, many years ago.
The bible was written my men. The sole purpose of the bible is to control. Control the women and you automatically have the control of the children. Round and round we go.
Having said that, my personal observations of the majority of women over the years has resulted in my belief that most women LIKE to be controlled. They like to have a man do all the decision making, all the heavy/dirty work etc. If they can get away with it, good for them. Hardly proves a lower IQ though.
The mentality of women was probably no different back in biblical times and the bible writers knew it.
I am a woman. I submit to no one.
Then I clicked the SUBMIT button!

Because it was simply the assignments given. Like in any organization - people are assigned certain responsibilities. When Eve fell for Satan's deception in the garden of Eden, man was given the assignment of being the leader - for lack of better terminology. Women are to submit to his decisions - like the vice president would have to submit to the President of a corporation. This does not make one less important or lower. It simply provides order. One person needs to have the ""final say" or to be the designated spokesperson and the other needs to yield to that. God assigned who was who. In a righteous union, the two voices are equal, but order is still necessary for the organization to move forward.

This refers to wives and husbands, not all men and women. And, as Christians, we are supposed to submit to one another. In the full context of the Scripture, order in the household had to be maintained somehow. Since the wife was deceived by the serpent in the beginning, the husband was made the decision-maker by God. Not as a part of a blessing, but to operate somewhat efficiently under the curse.

Why do no longer you quote the remainder of it, the place the guy is to preserve his spouse as Christ cares for the church? This verse (and others like it) are continuously utilized by using the two A) feminists who prefer to throw out the Bible because of the fact of it or B) misogynists who prefer to chain women individuals to the range and locate this justification for doing so. Neither team seems to have the potential to study the completed factor, and understand what's incredibly being reported.

Today's religions hide the fact that for thousands of years during the era of Egyptian Culture, God was always considered to be a woman called Goddess. Somewhere around the time that Judaism got its start, religion changed God into a man. Especially back then, the followers were subservient and everyone was told, from now on to believe that God was a man. Since then according to religion, women are supposed to be under the thumb of men. It's amazing how religion gave itself the power to change God's gender. It is wise to learn the history of civilization from a university and not from a religion.

What you need to read is Paul's letter to Timothy (2 Timothy 2:12-14). Paul gives us two reasons for women not to teach men.
1) The order of creation and 2) Because Eve was deceived by Satan. (You can read: Genesis 3:16)
The difference is in role and rank, not in worth or intelligence.

Wives are to submit to their own husbands not any woman to any man - Ephesians 5:22 - as God's command is for man to be head of the house. However the husband is required by God to love his wife unconditionally and sacrificially - Ephesians 5:25). Her submission is in response to her husband's love accorded to her.
