I would think that if you cut the portions down of your food, it might help.
Make sure you drink lots of water and have normal bowel movements every day.....
You could try walking around the block daily ans increase the number of blocks weekly or going to a building with stairs and do a couple flights every day and work up to an increased amount.
Try making some improvement on your skin, hair, clothes, take some pride in how you look and keep an eye on yourself in the mirror...
You can make any changes you want in life if you commit to it and believe it will happen and start acting like it is.......

Remember to keep it simple. Watch what you eat and exercise.

Try to incorporate exercise into your life. (ex. when going to the mall, walk instead of drive, walk to work, take the stairs instead of elevators etc...) The small things help a lot. If you like dancing, kickboxing or sports etc, join a team in your school, community. Not only will you get fit but you will be learning skills and having fun.

And as for eating, first make sure you are eating the right amount of daily calories to function. Then make sure u are eating health. Instead of having a cake for dessert, have a bowl or fruit. Just watch what you eat.

Don't go on any pills, plz, they are not health and you will have to take them forever. They hurt the body in other ways...Try the above first before you go for diet pill or any other quick fix. (for your body and well being stay away from quick fix.)

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

It's all about calorie intake, my friend: http://weightloss.about.com/od/eatsmart/a/blcalintake.htm

You can keep track of the calories in all your foods with sites like http://www.calorieking.com . Do some work and make sure you know how much you're putting in.

So, once you know how much you need, and once you know how much you are putting in, you can adjust your activity level and your food intake to set up a "caloric deficit."

Rule of thumb is 3500 calories are in a pound. If you set up a 500 calorie per day caloric deficit, then you should lose about a pound a week. Whether you do that mostly through limiting calories and eating right or through additional exercise is totally up to you.

You just have to eat 250 calories less a day and burn 250 calories more per day. A can of coke has 150 calories, so its not like you have to cut out that much of your diet. Starting to walk for 30 minutes each day is a good beginning point as well. Good luck. It might take a little bit to see results, but if you keep it up it will pay off.
