In my opinion, what's wrong is people not accepting others for whom they are. What's wrong is our culture saying that one has to be skinny and thin to be "pretty". Look at the women on the Hollywood rags. They're thin and considered "pretty". Yikes. When I was beyond bone thin, I was sickly looking. It was last summer and I have a few photos, but I've not really seen them. Yet, people who know me said I look scary thin. Now, at 181, I'm at a very healthy weight. My skinniest was 145. Yes, the 30 pound gain is from five and a half months of pregnancy. I gained four last week, even. Although we were on vacation and ate more (and walked more), but I know the baby grew some as well. Anyway...
I wonder if some of the Hollywood trend is changing. Yesterday I was in line at the grocery store and caught the cover of one of those rags (killing trees to print that dribble is also wrong in my book). The cover story screamed something about scary thin stars. Heh.
School kids have always bullied others who were "different". Partially out of their own insecurity, I think. It happened when I was a kid (when I was tall [still am, at six feet], awkward and socially rough around the edges). Think Monica in "Friends" when they did flashbacks. However, I would have never married a man who first didn't like me because I was different. When I lost my weight, I snubbed the guys who, in high school, wouldn't give me the time of day.
There are many things that are wrong with the world, not just in this area.
I think you answered your own question. If you think non-skinny people (specifically females?) are cute, then that's your perrogative. If you want to date somebody who does not have bones sticking out, go for it. When I was scary thin (and looking back I think I did have a freak eating disorder), my husband was worried, but still found me sexy, because inside, I was still the same woman he married five years earlier. Actually, I was the same woman, just better.
If you want to be the guy who might be "handsome" according to Hollywood/society standards who dates, and marries the woman who is not "pretty" by Hollywood/society standards, go for it.

Yes, Being fat is one of the Seven Sins "Sloth". Being fat exhibts a notion that the individual is lazy so the negative stygma comes from that. Big people do get good looking partners, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Kids always pick on the younger, more helpless children. That is the rule of the Jungle and humans are just one foot out the proverbial jungle. The world sucks because humans are based off emotions and emotion is created by our experiences. But if you live you life well then others will see that and want to be like you no matter what you look like. That is Kharma!

nope . . . but 2 of the deadly sins contribute to being fat (if the reason for being overweight is biological, like a thyroid problem)
gluttony - if you can't moderate your portions or exercise restriction and indulge yourself maybe a little too much, then that could help make you fat
sloth - laziness . . . if you are a couch potato or you don't exercise and don't lead an active lifestyle, that could also help make you fat
i don't know why there is such a discrimination against fat people . . . i don't think there is anything wrong with being big, as long as you are healthy, it doesn't matter

It's not a sin to be fat since some people become fat because of the how they were brought up/environment or just naturally fat. It's just that being fat gives people negative thoughts. So just keep fit, eat a balanced diet and be confident.
Oh yeah, gluttony is not fat. Over-eating or over-indulgence is gluttony.

No, it is not wrong to be fat. Many people are due to medical conditions. Some people are due to over indulgence. The latter should do something as they are only hurting themselves.

No being fat isn't one of the deadly sins.......Gluttony is though. Being overweight can be cause by gluttony.....but being bigger in general no. Also people tend to pick on things different than themselves or ridicule things they see as inferior i mean in their minds who can stop them?

Depends on what kind of "being fat" you're talking about.
Fat/plump but healthy/exercises often, eats in moderation = is okay
Thin but unhealthy = not good

gluttony (greed) is one of the 7 sins but specifically 'being fat' isnt one. Gluttony can refer to anything, from food to money to attention etc.
