One of my cats became a tuna addict. When he was very ill with a respiratory infection, I coaxed him to eat with tuna. He then refused to eat anything else and howled constantly for tuna (my vet calls tuna "kitty cocaine"). I had to slowly wean him off the tuna--I mixed tuna with wet cat food and eventually (over 3 weeks) eliminated the tuna from his diet. Then I bought tuna-flavored cat food. Tuna tastes wonderful to cats but does not supply the nutrients they need, and often contains high levels of mercury. Please wean your cat off the tuna; an occasional tuna treat is good, but an exclusive diet of tuna is bad.

She's fairly likely to get fat and/or diarrhoea if she's eating tuna regularly. My main concern would be that she's not getting enough nutrients however.
What kind of biscuits are these? While cats can be fine on an all-dry diet, not all biscuits are 'complete diets' some are mixers only. Generally biscuits that include little coloured bits are not a high quality diet!
Stop feeding the tuna, it's supposed to be a treat food only. Cats should not get too much of it. If you put her regular food down only twice a day, and take it up after a half hour whether she's eaten it or not, she'll get the message and eat, she won't starve herself. Just in case she's stubborn though, don't let her go longer than 48 hours without eating, and keep fresh water down at all times.

cats do not naturally eat fish. Think about it. Cats hate water, fish LIVE in water, how would the cats get the fish in the wild?
Tuna is not the best food for a cat. If they eat it on occasion, it's OK, but for a regular diet, it's very dangerous. The oils can really do a number on their kidneys. I am not sure what you mean by biscuits. as in bread or as in crackers? Either way, it's also not the best. Basicly you are feeding you cat the equivalent of candy bars and soda pop.
If you were allowed to eat only junk, wouldn't you balk at the idea of eating your veggies? That's what your cat is doing. Just keep putting down the "good for her" stuff and eventually she will get hungry enough to eat it. It may take a few days tho. Leave the tuna and biscuits for special treats.

Well, from time to time my cat doesn't eat her food and she is pretty spoiled because we give her tuna at 7 pm every day and now we regret starting this whole thing.I suggest you to always have her cat food there for her to eat when she wants to but not tuna and biscuits that should be very occasional.Good luck! And if you don't find a lot of information given to you by Yahoo! users then you should contact her vet for further information,at least they know what they are talking about!

He could be having gum/teeth problems- my friend has a 10+ cat who is losing his teeth. He has trouble chewing the dry food. See if your boy will eat wet food- if so, then his teeth are probably the problem. And if not, that is a bad sign. Either way, definately take him to the vet. It's not normal for a cat of any age to suddenly stop eating. As for the gum- mention it to the vet while you're there, but likely his system will digest what it can and he'll poop the rest. If the cost of the vet has you hesitating, you can always try the local humane society, or you can see if your vet will let you make payments if you can't afford the whole bill at once. You can always take him in for a checkup (which is usually afforable, even at the vets) and then decide what to do about paying for any tests or treatment with your vet. Good luck to you and the kitty.

Stop feeding it the biscuits and tuna. When it actually has a chance to get hungry, it will eat its food.
Fat cats are not that cool.

No biscuits and tuna are great for your cat. I would suggest that you covet the biscuits in a nice healthy coat of butter. You should fry the tuna in bacon drippings. Cats love it!
