If you think you have diabetes see your doctor. There is no sense worrying about something when you have no proof to back it up. Find out whether or not you have diabetes as you may be stressing for absolutely no reason. Please see your doctor!

Check the American Diabetes Association website http://www.diabetes.org/about-diabetes.jsp

and diabetes.com to get more information about the signs/treatments. Diabetes runs in my family so I know there diabetes can be control through eating healthy, exercise and medication (if too high). Some of the signs that my family members have experiences are thirst, sudden "hot flashes" or frequently going to the bathroom (pee). But every individual/body has different reactions to diabetes, you should talk to your doctor and ask him/her to run tests for you to be diagnose w/ diabetes. Also, I know some doctors have nutritionist/nurse that can teach you about the diabetes and help you control it.

Good luck!

Why do you think your monitor is wrong?

Here is what I get from your post. You are scared that you have diabetes. Your meter is probably spitting out numbers higher then 140, which means that you have diabetes. If you worry about whether you have diabetes or not, just go to the doctor. They can run the A1C test, which will tell you how much sugar is attached to your blood cells. Anything over 6 (it might be 6.5) means that your blood sugar level runs to high.
