Genital herpes are large, red, swollen, blister like sores. They can open and puss and then scab over. They are also extremely painful. It can take weeks to heal a herpes outbreak.

Razor burn is small, tiny, red bumps or a rash. It usually only lasts a few days until the hair is long enough to grow out of the skin. It's also usually not very painful.

Razor bumps are on shaved areas and are smaller and less painful than herpes.

Herpes are in clusters or alone and are bigger and full of fluid.

so a razor bump would not be on the tip.

If you see anything on the actual penis its probably herpes
